Thanks John! I would've missed it and also wanted to say I think this module is one of the best modules created. Upgrade went well!

if skenow's suggestion doesn't work then ftp to your files and go into your template_c directory. Delete everything in the template_c directory except the index.html file, leave the index.html file for security purposes. Then go back to your site's home page and refresh if necessary.

Hope this helps!

I notice in your theme center column you have arranged it so only the bottom blocks will show. As phppp mentioned you should use the default theme and style-meaning the coding from the default theme and style for that section of the theme. This would give you better and full use of the XOOPS functionality.

As for the Cslite theme, you are calling for a style of td id="bottomRcolumn" and the same for td id="bottomLcolumn" but your style.css does not have either of these. What it has is td#centerLcolumn and td#centerRcolumn and the td#centerLcolumn in your style.css is set for 49% and the td#centerRcolumn in your style.css is set for 50%. I am not so sure this makes a difference however since you aren't calling this in your theme. Either way you should not have to have a width setting for the center left or right blocks.

Best thing to do is rework you chosen themes using the default theme coding and default theme style.css. But of course use the color settings and graphics from your chosen themes.

Hang in there it gets easier!

You can create the custom block from your admin/system/blocks

Scroll down below and you will see where to input your information for the new/custom block. Create it, ensuring you have the appropriate location set-page, module, etc for where you want it to display and that it is set to YES to display. Then Save/Submit your Custom Block and you should have what you need. Don't forget, if you have to, you may have to or may want to also set group access permissions from the admin/system/groups.

Hope this helps.

I have tried Newbbex and CBB. Both are excellent modules. From what I understand Newbbex was created to be more simplified than CBB but both are great modules. CBB/newbb requires Frameworks and Xoopseditor to be uploaded too.

Give them each a whirl would be my best suggestion.

Thanks for the info irmtfan, much appreciated. I'd love to help and try my best where and when I can. Hopefully in near future I can volunteer more and be a more productive member for the xoops.org. It is from you guys I have learned most of what ah knowz and that isn't very much but still thousands times more than I knew when I started.

Just glad to know I wasn't alone in what I was experiencing. And got a little deezy there for a few minutes. I really like many of the changes occuring and they are indeed happening quickly too. Hats off to those who are putting all they are into Xoops, your achievements help XOOPS to stay on top.

To address your question of needing a module. YES

For what you explained I don't know that I would use a forum type module like Newbex or CBB.

You may want to take a look here first to decide in one of these modules will work best for you.

Always check the date of release and developer information as well as visit the developers web site if available to double check for newer versions/updates as well as support.

Did you click on the Create the Folder?

If you already created the folder/folders, are the permissions set correctly?

Don't mean to be rude but I gotta tell ya guys-ya got me bemiffed once again!

Where are the Themes and the Modules now? Probably right under my nose but I haven't found them for the last 15mins and I just don't feel this is right. I understand alot is happening on xoops.org and for that I am gratefull, however some changes should be noted/highlighted for ease of xoops.org use.

When I started using Xoops:

Themes Library
Module Library

Bad Bad Bad angry person messed that up:

Newest Themes went to News
Newest Modules went to News

Took many of us a while to figure that out and even longer for new comers.

Now! They don't appear to be arranged at all on the top page, not from what I and I suspect any newcomer could tell if coming to XOOPS as a beginner.

It didn't take me long to figure out that the site content organization had changed some but having the updated modules, newly published modules, and I guess themes too, inter-mingled as titles among other types of news, topics and compressed together the way they are is, well is rather rediculous IMHO.

BTW: Keep up the great work and many other changes. Change is good-when it makes since!

BTW: Surprised! and Evil Very Mad are still missing in the smilies pop-up.
