I also use that theme and I'm not having any problem. That theme adjust to pixel settings. I did find that using a high res screen gives you a different look. I suggest that you use the 768x1024 when creating the site. don't worry, after you finish and return to your higher res. It will still look great! Here is the site I use it on...http://rbdglobal.net

Oops... just realised I posted this in the wrong forum section - apologies everyone.

Having said that.... I still can't get it to resize and having set the site up with forums and posts etc I can't very well take it down and restart.

Maybe changing themes will help....

I'm using the supplied theme 'phpkaox' and like it... mostly... hence using it I suppose.

I run my screen at 1280 x 1024 res. and it fits perfectly, but I've had complaints about it not fitting the screen at 1024x768.

Is there any way to make it resize or do I have to use a diffrerent theme? If so - is there a similar theme you could suggest?

Chris

if you are talking about #2, I don't believe there is a way at the moment (without hacking the textsanitizer class). I would recommend adding a feature request for newBB2 at the newBB Project Page at dev.xoops.org

That's the problem... some guy has decided to bugger about by sending porn pics up. Yes I can 'ban' him but we all know what happens then :)

I suppose I'll just have to keep watching and deleting... but I *will* go and leave a feature req. as suggested.

Thanks for the help.

I've looked all thru the config files and can't see how to stop people (registred members or not) uploading images with forum messages.

I'm sure it's possible... but how?

So ok.... I was almost unfaithful... I *was* drawn to the Dark Side. I thought the grass was greener. I was wrong.

After three days of trying to install Tiki and having help from sysadmins et al, I gave the whole thing up as a waste of time and came back the light.

Within 20 mins of uploading the files, XOOPS was all bar configured and ready to launch live.

Maybe one day Tiki will have an installation process to rival XOOPS 2, but until then I'm keeping well away :)

Thanks tjnemez - you cannot imagine how impressed I am with your help :)

It might not be the best site in the world but it means a lot to me.... and now I can see it again.... *and* will know what to do next time... cos there *is* going to be a next time... <shudder>.. how else can I learn.

Thanks a million... if it isn't obvious - it worked and I'm over the moon!

OK... sorry for being dense... it's on a Plesk 7 server so it was there to be used.

However I have looked inside 'xoops_config' and couldn't find 'theme_set' which is probably my fault...

... I'm using XOOPS 2... will this make a difference?

... so are you familiar with php myadmin? if so you can edit your table xoops_config -> edit theme_set and set it to "default" then save

Never heard of it but the alternative seems to be a reinstall which would throughly p*$$ of both me and the few users who've signed to the new site :)

I've gone to look at it and probably download it. Is there any way I can edit the file more easily tho - it looks quite painful to use? :)

So here's another one new to XOOPS with theme problems.

I installed Bassman's Light Blue theme and after selecting it as the default theme, I am now presented with a blank page. (http://www.odps.net)

I deleted the folder with the theme in it in the vain hope it would default to a different theme - but of course it didn't.

Any suggestions how I can get access to the site please??
