Well now... wasn't *that* simple once you told me??

Many thanks... was driving me crackers!

I'll go and check on the other sites but that's probably the problem on all of them!!

All I have to do now is try to sort out why the site I installed XOOPS on this morning comes up with a blank page... never ends does it?

Edit: Re blank page. Deleted and reinstalled - quickest and simplest way and it worked. The ftp prog probably didn't upload all the files - it happens

Thanks for the support - great as usual.

Humm...have you tried turning on php debug? There's a tutorial on this at Johns tutorials and some help docs that might be useful to you in my link to help docs below. HTH

Haven't turned it on yet no... apart from this one tiny quirk the site works perfectly and didn't want to do anything to upset it

Edit: Just checked another site (Talk Tidy) and realised the same thing has happened.

What seems to be the case is that *none* of the userdefined blocks are visible when the user is logged out.

So... to rephrase the question... what do I do to make sure all userdefined blocks are visible to all visitors? Currently all blocks are flagged to be visible in all pages - but clearly aren't visible before login.

Simple query but couldn't find it when searching - tho maybe I used wrong terms :(

Site: Kellyville Guides

Version: XOOPS 2.0.13.1

All works well *but* visitors see a blank page when getting to the site and have to log on before seeing top page.

All blocks have been made 'visible in all pages' pro tem while I try to work out what's wrong - but all visitors see is the logon page.

What do I change to let visitors see the top page when they arrive at the site?

(I'll carry on searching while I wait for a response and delete this if I find something )

I don't believe NewBB 2 will work with XOOPS 2.2.X

You will need to upgrade to CBB which has superseeded NewBB

That's all very well but CBB killed my site... had to reinstall everything.

Installed XOOPS 2.0.13.2 to the new site (Kellyville Guides) and did some configuration - including a theme from XoopsFactory.

Then I added the CBB 2.32 module.

Uploaded 'Framework' to XOOPS Root... and added newbb to modules folder with the index.html

Then the site died on me.

As far as I could see I did exactly what I was supposed to... yet it failed. Where did I do wrong?

Image Handling Progs

There seem to be repeated requests for support on image handling progs that go unanswered. Is anyone working on one 'good quality' module (e.g. based on Coppermine) that is reliable and works out of the box?

Not complaining - I know the support is totally voluntary and I am all bar technically illiterate so I'm always grateful for help - but it'd be nice if there was a way of getting pics into a gallery in XOOPS without a hassle.

Other CMS's seem to be able to do it fairly easily but XOOPS modules are less common and it seems less stable.

I'd just wondering if there is a new module on the horizon

Have tried many times to make myAlbum start working again but keep getting the same error:
Quote:
Errors Returned While Uploading
Failed uploading file:

I CHMOD'd *all* the directories to see if it made a difference... but nope. Tried it on two machines... nope.

Forum members had reported not being able to upload either despite images being well within site limits.

So... I uninstalled it - thereby deleting existing pictures of course grrr - reinstalled 2.84... still nope.

Same error message.

We're using XOOPS Version 2.0.10
(I have the Invision board installed so can't upgrade... but it *did* originally work with the board so it isn't the board that's the issue.)

Thing is the original module used to work... then stopped, and I have no idea why! I have *no* idea what to do so any suggestions will be followed up.

Hello, I have not had time to finish it off for downloading, but I will submit it to the themes library as soon as I get time.

Please feel free to nick whatever design/element of it as you like, it is a gift to all Welsh for allowing me to go on a camping holiday in the beautiful country of yours.

Another problem with being Welsh is that I'm bone idle... so I was sorta waiting to see if you would be getting time to submit it to the library soon??
