@McDonald

What's the topic about ?

For sure, i read that Herko plan to use XOOPS users donations on impress cms project.
It seems to me that's the project you have joining, no?

So, if it's about ethics, let Herko answer.
After all, he promised transparency and reports.

If XOOPS project don't need a fundation (by the way never needed one)
people should be refunded (humm...maybe its 'administratively' to complicate for people who couldn't publish a report)
or give donations and adds funds to sourceforge, apache, etc.

Since XOOPS relays on such technologies, seems fair, don't you think?

This one was really the easiest and sublime way!

Seriously, I was expecting some more competition and fun!
I'm sure there's a good will but also a misunderstood about
User Interface and a lack of user experience studies.
Maybe the subject is confusing.
Web Standards already exist.
Templates are end-user freedom.

Maybe you should define "design" and "development" and create
a new topic "How to bridge the gap between design and development?"

Code and design have been separate environments, and the requirement
to switch between these environments has hindered developers.

Also, morpho seems to be old and to limit designers creativity as an
heavy and complex framework full of useless stuff.
That's why I never use it alike others out of contest!

Most D3 modules are frontend based. That means, we define module config from admin side: groups/user permissions, filters, wrap and rewrite url, fckeditor or XOOPS default, etc. Then, from your module front page, you create categories and page's content. You can also personalize language variables, export templates with smarty and define an history (diff) for your documents edition.

You can add an ajax library by category or by page (header), override css and even made forms. Basically, you can create almost any type of content. Personally, Pico is my favorite module and for sure the greatest module for... not so static content^^

Have Fun !

Try Gijoe Pico's module.
Check 'wrap' and 'rewrite url' options
You can also define permissions by group
even by user

Try D3 module PICO from Gijoe's website

(D3 modules generation are developed for XOOPS Cube, so you may face some issues)

You can rename PICO to whatever you want and need.
Then create a directory and category with your user names
You can set permissions by user and you can wrap documents.

Use fckeditor, personalize it and extend it with ajax multimedia/doc management.

Finally with PICO you can also create forms for each user and, or for all
to contact you, require support, etc. (store and manage it from admin, email, etc)

You can also personalize language variables and templates.
So, make it cool with some ajax interaction ^^

Have Fun !

P.S. Do a search on Gijoe forums and you will find almost everything!

@Bender

What happen to Ono (project founder) privileges ???
And all that developers who left the project during
the dark reign? About 'banning'... do i have to say more!?

Hummm...

With such public turn, i'm not impressed by the fact some cowards step back!...
And i bet none was listed without knowing.

Back to the topic "Show us the $$$....!", there's no official report
and some of listed people is thinking how to move funds
from XOOPS foundation to impresscms project.

By the way... Fun turn !

As for me, for the moment I'll sit, wait and see which CMS and community will fit my needs best. Will be the closed where I can find my 'CMS & community feel identity'. For the moment I have to declare that actually none of these CMS's/communities are. And I am sure this is something a lot of ppl have at this moment and stage.
We are all somekind of hobo's who are wandering about.......and at sometime we will see were we end up.
Xoops, XoopsCube, ImpressCms......
As somebody said before: CMS and community works should be fun and pleasent. It should feel like somekind of 'home'.
OK everybody, come to grip where ever that may be!

Since an open source cms project is what we made,
maybe the problem is that most people don't do much.
So, It is all about passivity!

What Mikhail pointed out as 'Lecheers',
most people only want to 'download'
but never contribute (feedback, wiki,
code check and bug report or patch, etc.)

So, yeah, you can sit and watch others do the job,
it's also part of open source freedom!

Have fun watching others doing and benefit from it!

Currently there are 21 listed, before Herko was dropped there were 22 listed.

Herko was listed as a PROJECT MANAGER.

Look at the evidence, we all knew the bad management
lack of development, promises "very soon" and personal
insults, attempt to take control of servers and much more
as we can see the facts today...

After many years, and many fights, the dark reign ended.

It was not in vain!... Even they don't accept such defeat.
Now everybody know them... And we know XOOPS Project
environment much cleaner ^^

Thanks Mamba to keep focus on topic,
and to finish with personal attacks.
That old strategy to embezzle...

Have Fun with the new and clean XOOPS environment!
