Hi!

I just read the good news, but I'm currently using XOOPS EXM and I have to say the admin interface in EXM is too #OOPS# good to forget it. Is there any plans to make a 2.0.17 EXM edition, or anyone knows wich files should be modified to port the EXM interface to this new XOOPS version?

I really hope that EXM will become the standard Admin interface for 2.0.18

We desperately need to improve our speed of adoption of cool solutions from the XOOPS community and EXM will be the perfect test to see if we're able to do it.

So I would like to challenge the current CORE team to commit to do it ASAP!!!! (after reasonable testing to make sure that this solution doesn't have any bugs)

EXM is just XOOPS with a different, much cooler, admin interface. I've been playing with it for about two months and found just one problem with menus and Internet Explorer 6, just one or two lines of CSS code.

I recommend making it the standard admin interface ASAP.

Olá, Fabio is programming the new menu css in the administration so that he is 100% compatible with IE7, FF and Opera.

We are initiating a process of update of the version 2.0.16 EXM for the version by XT and XM with the new inclusion of all features and bug-fix of version 2.0.17 also. This process will have to delay 1 month more or less still.

We will go to send the steps in sf.net it teams Core to follow.

Well, it would be interesting to see if we could decouple the Admin interface from the core, and thus let people use the old interface or EXM, without imposing one or the other on anybody. Something like applying a different skin or theme. Just thinking loud...

This is possible in the EXM edition. The admin interface is the default theme, just edit it and you're done. The drawback is that the classic interface is not available at all, but you can create your own.

It would be good to have the classic Admin GUI available as well, so the user could switch between them. The default should be the EXM, but the user could switch to the Classic one if needed. The same as it is done with the standard themes that come with the XOOPS installation.

By having the separation I wouldn't have to wait for the EXM update for 2.0.17, but just could use it like a theme in 2.0.17
