Property Reports Module?

I am looking for a module I could possibly modify.... I have a client who wants to be able to attach property reports to a user's account that only they can see.

The ability to attach a .pdf to the report would be a plus, but I can handle that aspect by setting him up .ftp and showing him how to iframe it in.

Any suggestions of a module that could easily be modified to do this?

I tried out the DH-Info module. It seems to function on 2.4.1 but it has admin menu problems, it doesn't look like the english translation is complete, and it doesn't function like the content module. I mean, I can see many uses for it on future sites, and maybe I could help later with translations and defining some of the undefined language variables, but for right now it isn't what I personally need. If I am going to upgrade any of my clients sites to 2.4.1 I need a content module they can use from the administration area without problems. A few of them are engineers, so the simpler the better.

DH-Info would confuse them, and the fact that the admin area is bi-lingual, complicated, with errors and incomplete would irritate them.

I meant what I said about helping with the language and layout of DH-Info when I get some time. It does look promising.

Also, is anyone working on the actual content module anymore? (That's why I posted the debug info and spent hours testing and re-testing.) I would be happy to help because I need that module. It is good for clients who know very little about managing sites to be able to press one button and edit their own pages with a nice WYSIWYG editor. I would personally vote it one of the most valuable modules in Xoops. (seriously, it's right up there with news and the classifieds module from jlmzone.com on my favorites list.)

I only recommended 4.0 because it is the one version that I was able to get the rss feeds to work properly on with 2.3.3. It has been a release "candidate" for quite awhile now. I have been using it on 1 production site since November of last year, and I haven't found a bug with that version of XOOPS yet. However, I have seen a few problems with 4.0 on my test sites using other versions of xoops. I had to downgrade to 3.08 on 3.4.1... On the majority of my sites I don't use cbb at all... I am still waiting and hoping for a version that works properly. Forum modules are important. They are good for everything from community to support.

However, it would appear that this issue is solved, since the forums are back up on vmaxowners's site.

Thought I would follow-up.... I downloaded the file that link lead me to. I followed the instructions. On 2.0.18.1 that hack kills the registration. 1)The captcha is almost 100% impossible to read. (The friggin' background is jumbled letters and numbers. How stupid is THAT?) 2) White screen on submit.

Luckily it is easy to undo. 2 core files to replace and it's back to normal. (unprotected, but functional.)

I was all happy thinking I would have captcha protected registration on those sites. Oh well. I will just continue deleting bots, or whatever they are I guess. I upgraded the 2.3.3 site to 2.4.1 so maybe that will stop it, but I was getting those registrations with the 2.3.3 registration captcha on that site as well.

I don't know what to do about this.

Trabis,

This is the link I have for the version that works on 2.3.3.http://dev.xoops.org/modules/xfmod/project/showfiles.php?group_id=1248&release_id=1290&dl=3056

I tested it and the download is still there.

Mark

I use that module on 1 site, but just as a thrift store for a non-profit, so I have never tried out the file download feature. Maybe someone else here knows. Sorry I couldn't help more.

I would try to talk to him if I were you. He fixed some problems for me before, and even fixed up a customized version of the news module with multiple category selection, etc. He's a really great guy, and was probably just stressed that day. It never hurts to ask him.
