not sure either. is mainfile.php actually being included? (does it have the proper chmod permissions?)

off hand, i can't think of anything at mo.. does it happen right after install but still under the installation script, or is it occuring when you goto your homepage after the installation as finished..

leave the creds in the script at all times in GPL code, and you can only release your code under GPL rules too.

but why make smartprofile php4 compatible? php4 is dead, but on that note.. if you read the smartprofile forum you'll find an updated version of smartprofile, that works with both php4 & php5.

and why merge it with smartobject? smartobject is still a development in progress & most future smartmodules will require smartobject to run..

the idea of having smartobject was to save having to have the same classes & functions in every single module.

that way modules can be made far easier, and they will be smaller in size. merging smartprofile with smartobject really negates the whole reason they were created like that.

just create a text file and rename it style.css and save it to that folder.

it doesn't have to contain any data.. as long as the filename is correct.

it's likely that dj used a different method in cbb 3.08, but the reference was still left there somehow.

yes users can give opinions on sites, whether good or bad.

constructive criticism is always welcomed by many.

it is upto the users to decide whether to use a website or not, but they should not base their decision just on reviews alone.. some opinions could be biased.

the only time i would be wary about visiting a site is if someone reported that it has a lack of security or moral obligation.. ie. the site is used for phishing, it has hidden scripts that try to collect data, they don't adhere to privacy laws or data protection act.

but overall, the users have to protect themselves. all we can do is advise them as best we can with the information we have. butr we are not responsible for users opinions unless they are known to be innacurate, in which case the innacuracies should be highlighted.

also your homepage is extremely slow at loading.. it gets stuck with 10 items left to download to the browser..

which is strange considering that there's nothing on your site at mo which i can see would slow it down..

sounds like your server may have hotlink protection enabled, or something serverside is preventing the images loading through the script.

check for anything in htaccess files or in cpanel.

off hand i can't think of anything else at mo.

i'd also like the addition of an option in preferences to disable/enable viewing of the webmaster account uid=1
