Do you know the problem.
You are an extreme XOOPS fan.
Al around you see people with the same passion.
And they even mak there own site more interesting by adding several hacks.
But somehow you can´t added the core file because you don´t have any knowlegs about php

On the internet you find serveral Phpbb hacked version.
And by searhing one for XOOPS i did not find one.
Although there are hacks enough.
But nobody published an hacked version sofar.

The last 2 day i have been working on one.
And want everyone to ask here if there is an potentional to lauch an hacked version.
Besides the orginal XOOPS version.

What have i done until now

Which zilla version do you use?
I work with 1.7.12 and i also use the <marquee> function on my site for the "latest forum topics" & "Recent comments".
Without any problems.

This is what i have done
<marquee behavior="scroll" direction="up" scrolldelay="60"
scrollamount="1" onMouseOver="this.stop()"
onMouseOut="this.start()">

<--
Your html -->

</
marquee>

I work with XOOPS version 2.0.13.2 and CBB 1.15.
When i try to post an image into the forum or anywhere else with the [img] tag it works fine.
But when someone tryes to post an image with these two symbols the image will not appear.

Example:
- auto034(small).jpg = does not work.
- auto034small.jpg = works fine.

I think the module.textsanitizer.php is the problem.
But is there a way to make ik work.

First off all sorry for my bad english.
And i hope i placed my topic into the right forum.

I maybe have found an verry simple solution to protect your xfguestbook against spambots.
I just put the folowing line 3 weeks ago into robots.txt which you can find in de XOOPS root DIR.

Disallow: /modules/xfguestbook/

I have put this line into two differnt XOOPS sites.
Which have running the xfguestbook module running.
And both site had alot of spambots spamming these guestbooks with filthy spam.
So far so good, the last couple off weeks these sites did not had any spambots writing into those guestbooks.

or do something as i do now on my site.
When a visitor visits my site they see at the top of my page an custom block which i wrote in the theme.html.
But when a users logs in he does not see that block but gets an menu to navigate true his account.

<{if $xoops_isuser}> bla bla bla (block for users)
<{else}>
<
div style="padding: 8px;">
<
fieldset>
<
legend class="blockTitle">Welcome</legend>
<
div class="blockContent"bla bla bla (block for non users
</div>
</
fieldset>
</
div>
<{/if}>

This problem could be in your apache if you use Apache offcourse.
Check in tha apache DIR the httpp.conf.
Somewhere down there you will find something like this;

DirectoryIndex

index
.html index.htm index.php index.php4 index.php3 index.cgi index.pl index.html.var index.phtml

This tells apache to search for those index files.
I just deleted all those unwanted until index.php was leftover.
Could solve the problem...
