I'm fairly new to XOOPS but am experienced in Linux and web.

So far I have downloaded a few themes and modules and it seems to work - I like what I see ...... but

When I select on the home button, say when in administration, I get a listing of my home directory which is ...

http://localhost/xoops-2.0.13.1/html/

I then have to manualy select index.php to get the homepage.

This also happens when I want to click to say the "contact us" module from the home page. I get a directory listing and manually select index.php and hey presto, everything is fine.

I've looked around and also the postings here but can find nothing relating to this. Note that this is not the blank screen problem reported elswwhere, I'm past that.

Basically, links are showing directories as targets, not files.

This problem could be in your apache if you use Apache offcourse.
Check in tha apache DIR the httpp.conf.
Somewhere down there you will find something like this;



This tells apache to search for those index files.
I just deleted all those unwanted until index.php was leftover.
Could solve the problem...

yep - spot on, that's working fine now. I should have known that - doh!.
