Hello,

making him moderator just isn't enough. Although he will have the privileges, he won't be under the group "Moderator". You will have to change him group to "Moderator" for his nick to appear under the moderators list. You can do this by "Find User" under admin and then click on his/her nick. After that scroll to somewhere near the bottom of the page and move the user to the group "Moderator" or whatever you have named the group. After that you are all set to go.

Hello all,

as topic states, i'm looking for a simple, good, yet functional news module to use on my site.

I have tried News v1.21 but that does not show aricles with summary on top page unless i set the modules as start page. So that isn't too good.

I've also tried the latest wfsection however there are quite a number of bugs which affect my site greatly so that's out as well. It's a very good module i must say though. Although complicated, it functions very well and allows for own customisation.

So then, besides these 2 modules are there anymore which can show articles like wfsection can (image and summary on top page) but simple and bug free like news v1.21? I've heard of tiny but am unable to find it to test it out.

Please keep the suggestions coming in and many, many thanks in advance.

Hello, i would recommend MyAlbumP simply because it is a simple yet powerful module. It is bug-free (i think) and works great! Just remember to use NetPBM or ImageMagik to get crisp looking thumbnails.

Although i feel that XCGal and XOOPSGal are good modules, i use MyAlbumP because it allows all users to upload in a general folder. The other 2 modules suit more to allowing users to create their own folder and uploading photos inside IMHO.

I hope this helps in your decision and no matter what you use, they are all great modules. Good luck!

page may be stored in cookies, try Ctrl-F5 to "Force Refresh". hope this works. gd luck.

Ah yes, finally it worked! However for me, i had to change "Calc rule for building thumbnails" to Specific Square Size as well. But all is good now. Many thanks to the both of you!!!

hi all..

i've gotten my provider to install netpbm from cpanel and i have change the options in myablumP to use NETPBM. however, when i rebuild the thumbnails, they are still grainy and of the same quality as when i used GD.

i even updated the whole module system. anyone might wanna shed some light on this? btw i set the NETPBM path to "/usr/bin" is that righT?

anyone? i tried searching for all xDirectory bugs and i hack all the files as people have said but this problem is still there.

another problem i found out is, the "Add Business" form from the control panel is different from the form from the main site. ;/

Hello all,

I've been looking for a better alternative to the "Who's Online" module but have not found any avaliable for download.

However, i went to www.xoopsmalaysia.org the other day and noticed something similar to this "Who's Online" module. It showed total number of registered users and users currently online and other stats like that.

I think this is a very useful module however it is in Malay. Does anyone knows if there is an english version avaliable for download?
