This is exactly what I would like to do as well. Currently, when a user registers, they are prompted to fill in their Username, email address, website, password, etc. In addition to this information, I would like to force them to add their real name during the registration process. I realize it can be done by the users afterwards but if a user doesn't bother, I can tell who they are.

Unfortunately, I'm not a programmer. Can someone suggest some javascript to use and where to place it in the register.php file? Any and all help is greatly appreciated!

I've been using XFSection for a couple of days now and I like what I see. I am having one problem however.

I get this error message when I attempt to use an existing HTML file:
Quote:
ERROR: There is no Text/Html in your article! Article cannot be empty!

I am able to Preview the article and it displays fine but when I click Save, I get the above message. The steps I'm using are as follows:

1. Choose Section
2. Set Article Weight (1)
3. Add title of article
4. Choose HTML file from the drop down list.
5. Leave Article Text empty since it is overridden by the HTML file.
6. Article URL Link is left blank
7. Edit Attached File can't be modified
8. Other Article Settings are all left unchecked.
9. Click Preview - Article looks fine, images are displaying and formatting is correct.
10. Click Save - I get the error message above.

This is a flat HTML file with two images and a couple of links. It contains no scripts, just <p>, <br> and <b> tags and a small table. If necessary, I can post the HTML file somewhere...

I have also tried this with an HTML file with "This is a test" as the only content -- same results.

Suggestions?

Sean

I had the same problem running on my IIS server. It worked one day, then did not work the next. I was able to determine that it stopped working after I ran the "IIS Services Lockdown Wizard". When I ran the wizard again to remove the changes made to IIS, I was able to upload templates again.

Does anyone out there know what the lockdown tool does to ISS which would prevent uploading in Xoops? I assume it must be one of the restrictions it sets. I like the fact that it is locking down my system but I'd also like to be able to reconfigure that one component which prevents XOOPS from working properly. Suggestions welcome!

First let me begin by saying XOOPS is great! I just installed it in my system and I LOVE it! I'm a newbie at managing my web server so I hope you'll forgive this question...

I have a Windows2k server running IIS and the box has one IP address. I have three web sites running on this server (Site A, Site B, & Site C). I installed XOOPS into the main directory of Site C - the only one where I currently want it to run. Everything works perfectly!

Unfortunatley, when I point my browser to the URLs for Sites A & B, I get the XOOPS login screen. What have I done wrong? Is there a way to limit XOOPS so that it only responds when pointing to the Site C URL? Please remember that I'm a newbie when posting suggestions.

Again, GREAT product!

Sean
PS In my troubleshooting I did note that if I "stop" Site C using the IIS manager, the problem disappears...
