when apply your hack i can see the image in the index but it disppear in article display

sorry, it runs with a <{else}>

How can i port this hack with the latestnews module?

with the 2.4.1 update all the editors works like a charm with news 1.64

Does anybody adapt the latestnews module to show the "new image" ?

i think you can try two modules form instant zero combined: marquee and boox, the first one creates a marquee on a block with the content of a block form a module instaled, the second one makes posible to put a block outside the tipical positions
...

And there's no way to repair it's own uploader?
