There is still problem with News 1.64 and Xoops. I first fount this odd behavior in News 1.63 that I change code as Mowaffaq suggested. Sometimes it works, sometime doesn't. I can't find connection when and why.
I use TinyMCE and when I try to put some text in text area for editing it doesn't appear there. I copy text from Notepad, so it's plain text.
Also after that happend TinyMCE editor dissapers so only plain text box rest. No other editing is possible then.
Sorry for my bad english.

I have fresh XOOPS 2.4.0 install and only News module. Firstly I tried 1.63 and after I found this error I tried 1.64 but with same problem.
Anyone else found this problem?

I had similar issues with 1.63, but with 1.64 there only problem that I've experience was with CKEditor, but it seems like with this version it works.

Try to delete 1.63 and install 1.64 fresh.

Also, download the SVN Trunk version of XOOPS and use that one.

Please let us know if this worked.

I made upgrade my 2.4.0 to 2.4.1 from SVN but TinyMCE still doesn't work as it should.
Also CKEditor works ok now.
I must admit that I don't like (my clients too) to change every few months to new editor
I hope this bug with tinymce will be fixed soon.

I cannot reproduce any problems with TinyMCE. Can you try "Refresh Browser" there, if it helps?

Anybody else experiencing issues with TinyMCE?

BTW - what PHP version do you have?

Hmm. It looks I have problems with Google Chrome browser. On XOOPS 2.3.3 I never had problems like this. I tried on Avant Browser (Internet Explorer engine) and it works as it should.

My local server:
Apache Version :
2.2.11
PHP Version :
5.3.0
MySQL Version :
5.1.36

Today I install fresh XOOPS 2.4.1 from SVN and News 1.64 module. There is problem definitely.
Now I can't even choose what editor to use.
I'm making new site for my bussines and it looks I will be forced to return to 2.3.3.

EDIT: After update of System and News in modules list I got list but only DHTML, Compact and CK Editor.
Ah, I forgot that FINAL version of XOOPS doesn't have editors. I hope this is problem.

@sadistiko,
every time you make changes in the editors(upload/delete) you have to update the news module to refresh editors list.

Well I downloaded from SVN Spaw2 and tinymce and made update for news and system also (after first one didn't work) and nothing happend. Only those three are in list. Also I changed to english language but list is still in croatian language. Not sure how this happend. I installed in croatian language (to check if there is some error user reported on local site) and now chacnge to english.
I never before had so much problem with XOOPS and news module. News module is my favorite and now it doesn't work as it should.

Update the News module, and potentially clear the Cache.
