One last thing. I tested the sourceforge 3.10 version of phpAuction, and it works up to the point where you add an auction, and then it is totally bugged out. So here is the link to the STABLE version again:http://www.phpauction.us/downloads/phpauction-gpl-2.5.zip

On that auction I just added an iframe to a new module folder. You can find instructions on how to create a module to display html here:https://xoops.org/modules/smartfaq/faq.php?faqid=280

You can download the auction software here:

Thanks!

Resized Image

That's the one I use on the bottom of my sites. Does that help?

That's what I did here:http://delnortesales.com/modules/auctions/

Any auction script can be added using an iframe. I like it that way because it runs on a seperate mySQL database and requires a seperate registration. For other modules that may be a pain, but for auctions it just adds security.

Well, you could run PHPAUCTION version 2.1, and port it in with an iframe.

I figured that one out. I just had to change the paths in some of the template files. *hangs head in shame*

I posted this somewhere else, but I will post it here again in case you are about to lose your whole site because of a downgrade script malfunction:

I had to re-build my whole site after trying to use the downgrade script. I lost a user database of over 80 people.

After this bad experience I decided to experiment. If you have the ability to run a SQL query on your database you can save your site. If your downgrade goes bad, and it seems like you have lost everything:

1) Upload all files from the XOOPS 2.0.13.1 to 2.2.3 Final Upgrade package onto your server EXCEPT the install directory.

2) Run the query on your database using the mysql.structure text file in the install/sql folder. Then you will be able to get back in to your administration and update all of your modules again.

I wish I had tried this before I started all over. It could have avoided allot of work, AND it could have saved my users a bunch of grief as well.

I am running a bi-lingual XOOPS site. (English and Español) I am using newbb for spanish and xhnewbb for english, and it works fine, EXCEPT they both use the same basic XOOPS images for the edit, delete, and reply buttons. Where in the templates or php files could I change the settings so the spanish buttons are displayed from a different file? Seriously, I have been looking and looking and I can't find a way to change them. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Once I get it finished I will submit the spanish module for anyone else who wants a bi-lingual site.

(Also, the spanish newbb module available on the spanish side doesn't install on english versions of Xoops. I tried and tried and eventually had to translate my own version.)
