Sorry if you answered this before at some time, but...
Does evennews work without the mail settings being configured in xoops? Like is it a seperate thing?

I prefer it being seperate to be honest...but Ive been stumpped on the mail for awhile...

Ah, so it sounds like the behavior with mac (or safari?) is most similar to Netscape.

TYhanks, I've been trying to figure out some of the differences.

Quote:
are the "home" and "On the run" buttons supposed to have white backgrounds?

No, there is supposed to be a (background) image behind them, BUT this is to be expected. I saw this behavior on Netscape so I think I know what you are talking about! But doesn't look too bad without it I suppose.

Thanks for taking a look!

Dear Mac user,

I was wondering if you might take a peek at my site and tell me if it displays correctly. After much consideration I decided to just copy my PC-IE6 theme stylesheet to the Mac style sheet. Being a former (and preferably) a mac user myself I was wondering if it displayed ok....
If so, I think its silly to have the extra style sheet...

Our site is in my profile.

Your feedback is greatly appreciated...
If you don't have a Mac could you possibly refer an emulator program of sorts!
Thank YOU!

If you get a chance try out the mambo demo. (now wait a minute I like XOOPS better, much better...) there is something to be said of their admin menu however limited it may be...its effective, simple and quick. I can't remeber what site i saw it on ..but uh it was pretty slick.

Basically its just a horizontal set (if memory serves) with dropdowns, I agree we dont need the cute module buttons on our admin page!

it works now?!
Re: in 2.0.5 version
lines 76-77 (on my editor)

check login version php1.15

if (!empty($HTTP_POST_VARS['xoops_redirect']) && !strpos($HTTP_POST_VARS['xoops_redirect'], 'register')) {

Changed back to
checklogin phpversion 1.10
if (isset($HTTP_POST_VARS['xoops_redirect'])) {
$parsed = parse_url(XOOPS_URL);

---login check
dont know why I didnt try this sooner...this solves all my problems with redirect while loging in and viewing a news or forum topic. -Thanks!!

NOTE:this may have to do with a hack I have long forgotten about....so if you are not having problems dont try this fix..and always make a backup.

xoops redirect sux! Occurs everytime we do an upgrade...

It will be helpful if you tell us what platform you are using etc. etc.
ie.do you use mysqlfront? or phpmyadmin? etc.
also check this for a brief intro:

no one know?
of course you do...sound off

UPDATE-10/2

I had explored this because I was trying to solve a problem . I fixed it and it had nothing to do with header.php. It always has been my understanding that cvs is not a good idea to experiment with unless you really know what you are doing and how that file affects others. So if you have read this with curiosity and concern, dont worry.

Official releases are just that. my bad...
Sorry if I caused any confusion!
