I just don't understand.. My smartmedia worked really nice in my locale Xammp on my computer. Videos displayed nice! But when going live, and after tuning the module and all preferences etc. I only get a blank screen when I try to access the module on the web frontend! Both as administrator and as a user, and all groups are admitted!

And the only error I colud extract was this:

Notice: Only variables should be assigned by reference in file /modules/smartmedia/class/category.php line 570

Which is just this line:

if (!$result =& $this->_db->query($sql)) {

Captcha in Liaise will not show up

I am using XOOPS 2.0.16 and Liaise 1.27 (with Captcha included). Other users have done this before me with great success, as I can see. But I have one problem: The Captcha Image will not display on the form page. I installed the module straight from the box.
Anyone out there with suggestions?

I have installed frameworks and enabled the captcha security check for the register page. I think it works.

But on the register.php I really would like to:

1. Get rid of the Website text field.
How to do that?

2. Get rid of the Timezone dropdown field (since time is fixed for my use (default)).
How to do that?

3. I would like to have my members register with all characters in the nordic alphabet (i.e the letters æ, ø and å as the three last characters after z.
May I just edit z -->å in the register.php?

Any help with these issues would be highly appreciated!

I would recommend sticking with 2.0.16 as this seems to be the main thrust of the development.

You can get the version of liaise at Happy Linux

OK! But... I have PHP 4.4.4 and not 5.. will 1.27 still work?

I have installed, developed and tested my installation and all my modules locally with xammp and soon the time is here for exporting everything to web and go live.
I jsut wonder: Should I stick to my 2.0.16 or should I use another Xoops-version? One of my modules, Liasie (for forms) appear not to work withn 2.0.16 as well.

Thanks, I will follow your advice! It's confusing with caching options both in the main admin and also in the different modules...

When I as the administrator switches from the admin interface to the public pages (and not logging out) and then click on on of the installed modules, my admin block disappear. When I click "home" it appear again, but when I try to click the admin link in the block in order to access the admin interface again, I am told that I am logged out?
Is this how XOOPS are supposed to work?
