Hello,

I keep getting trolls registered on my site. How do I find the IP address to ban them?

THanks,

Chris

Hello all,

I am currently uploading about 60 modules. Is there an easier way to install them all instead of one at a time?

Thanks,

Chris

I installed 60 modules today to test them out. I have not done anything yet except install them and I get these errors:

This is very weird. After they finally finished uploading I went to the admin module screen... but it only lists the core modules. I double checked and all the modules did upload to the server. I don't understand what is going on, so now I can't install and test them :(

Are you guys wanting to use this for a real store, or just to test? I am uploading it now to test because I believe it is based on osCommerce, which I am familiar with.

Uploading 65 modules

Hi,

I had a brilliant (or maybe not) idea of uploading every possible module I thought sounded interesting or useful. Some of them are duplicates, like several different calendars or photo galleries, so I can see which I like best. So there is a total of 65 I am currently uploading, including the core modules (it's taking a long time!) Has anyone done this before? There are so many modules and it is hard to know which are good and which are bad, or even what they do, unless you test them. I will probably just go through them one by one and see what I think, and pick my favorite module from each category, then maybe zip it and keep it on my hard drive so that when I want to install this again, I already have the modules I like.

The only question I have is this: with this many modules uploaded, are there any problems known about some modules maybe working with another to crash or something? And, does this sound like a stupid idea, or do other people do this as well.

Thanks

Chris

Looking for dynamic width or tableless theme

Hello,

I am looking for a theme that I can use and modify. I tried to make a tableless, dynamic width theme that was 90% of the browser width, but the design kept breaking with certain modules. Then I tried the same thing with tables, but again the design kept breaking again. These were at 800x600 resolution.

It seems to me that this should not be that hard to do, but I just can't get it. I just want a basic 3-column site, preferably slightly smaller than the browser so you can see a background image on the sides. Dynamic width is preferred but even fixed would be ok, so long as it quits breaking my site. I'm not looking for anything fancy, like curves or diagonal lines, a plain boxy site would be ok.

I have seen a few nice sites that seem to look great, the first two that come to mind are these:

http://hokamp.info/index.php
http://www.albanycc.org.nz/

Now, those seem to both be fixed width, but I can't even seem to get mine to do that without breaking. Does anyone know if there exist themes like this that are available for download and use?

Thanks,

Chris

This has got to be one of the most frustrating things I have ever encountered. I was just trying to make a simple site that was semi-liquid. I went to her store today and tested it out and this happens on almost every screen. I even tried converting it back to a table site instead of "tableless" and still i have the same problems at 800x600.

Hello Hawkeyegop

I remember to have debuging it for the same problems onto XOOPS FR.
Unfortunately the links where all are the posts seems to be broken.

If you want I could send it to you by email.

That would be awesome, I would appreciate that. My email address is in my profile. Also, if you had any additional documentation I'd appreciate that as well!
