customized search block (search only 1 module)

Hello, I'm building a XOOPS site and posting many questions here. Here is another:

I have a search engime site (psychology search engime) and I've imported all the links to xoops.

But when the user click at the links module, there is no search option. He has to click at advanced search at the search block and then choose the option to search only at links module.

Would be much easier for the user if I put a search block only at the Links module.

This search block could have the option (All/any/exact match) and search only at the links module.

I imagine that this can be made, but I dont know how to do it.

what is the sub-topic deal?

I've created a sub-topic. And It displays it's name and image at the news module.

When I click at the main topic, all the news from this topic appears, but not the news from it's sub topic.

When I click at the sub-topic, all the news from this sub-topic appars, but not the news from the main topic.

So what is the deal of the sub-topic?

how to display block "only" at top page

Hello, is it possible to display blocks "only" at top page?

I mean "only" because they still displays even if you click elsewhere within the same module.

Example:

in xoops.org ther are foruns blocks at top page. Even if you click at a news topic to displays all the news of that topic the foruns blocks stills display in the news topic page.

So is there is a way to make those blocks to display only at the top page (1st page of the site, the entrance only)

Hello, is this a way to display sub-categories at links main page?

Like that:

Categorie (xx)
Sub-categorie
Sub-categorie


Also is it possible to have a Search form in Links module?
Better would be if this form perform a search only in links.

Hello. I'm using latest XOOPS and I want to insert the {X_UNAME} in a block but it does not appear!! (the username)

It works with {X_URL}, but not with {X_UNAME} or {X_UID}

is this correct?

I have a website and we are moving it to xoops.
It is a old postnuke site.

My partner thinks that statistics and top 10 data is really important for our users (he is more in contact with the users than me).

We were unable to find a statistics module that work.

We have webtrends, we know everything about the site visitors, but we need a statistics module for the users!
(just like the nukes statistics)

Also we need a "top 10" page.

I've found some statistics blocks and also is possible to have a "top news" "top links " and other Top blocks

But I wonder if there is a way to have a "TOP" page with all those blocks inside it.

Just a link in the main page that take you to the TOP page , full of blocks

I'm very interested in upgrading phpnuke and old postnuke to xoops.

I dont have a clue about how to do this.
