I've created a sub-topic. And It displays it's name and image at the news module.

When I click at the main topic, all the news from this topic appears, but not the news from it's sub topic.

When I click at the sub-topic, all the news from this sub-topic appars, but not the news from the main topic.

So what is the deal of the sub-topic?

Subtopics do get indented beneath their parent in the topic drop down bar, but as far as I can tell, thats it ?

I agree with you, would be nice if selecting a topic captured all its subtopics as well (anyone know a way to make that happen ?)

Yes, I've noticed that.
There is one way to make sub-topics more integrated with the topics.

You put the same image on both of them, so they apear alike but with diferent names:

example:

Topic: XOOPS Modules, image xoopsmodules.gif
sub-topic: Beta modules, image xoopsmodules.gif

But if we could list all of them under XOOPS modules Topics, would be much better
