I am using a couple of modules that have pupup calendars to select dates (e.g. News and ExtCal). Because my theme uses a light text on a dark background, the popup has light text on white or light gray, making the dates, etc. impossible to see. I would like to change the color of the background on the popup calendar. Can anyone tell me how to do this?

I am currently rebuilding my site under XOOPS 2.2. One module I use is the new extCal calendar module. It has a popup calendar to insert the date. The default colors in that calendar are a problem, becaues my theme's text color (a light gray) is displayed on a white background in the calendar, making the text illegible. I think this popup calendar is the javascript one that comes with XOOPS 2.2. Can anyone tell me how I can change the background color in that popup to allow my light text to be seen?

I don't have the problem. I have Liaise 1.25 RC, as supplied in the module packs, installed on a new version of my site that I am building under XOOPS 2.2.2. It is on Apache 1.3.33, php 4.3.11, mySQL 4.0.25-standard. I just tested one of the forms and it sent the email out correctly. Maybe there is a problem with your sendmail setup?

What version of XOOPS are you using? The membership module is only for 2.0.x. For XOOPS 2.2 it is redundant.

Personally, if you are using XOOPS 2.2, I would recommend the module Content. It allows you to add html content, with links appearing in a Main Menu, which can also be ordered as you wish. What I have done, in a new site that I am building, is to hide the System Main Menu and replace it with the one from Content (renamed Main Menu).

This gives you great flexibility for adding html pages with links from the main menu.

Mith,

[edit] That link is accessibe to a user via the submenu, change password, appearing under Ext. Profiles in the Main Menu. However, as admin I often have the need the change the password of users. No matter how easy one makes it, there are always people who claim that the Forgot Password link did not work for them. Then I have to reset their password and tell them how to access the site.

Why not have that field appear for admins in the user's profile, such that the password can be reset.

[edit again]

OK, I'll answer my own question. I had been looking at my own admin account via Admin/Modules/Ext Profiles/Users, where MY password doesn't appear. However, when I look at other users their password field does appear. So, for myself I have to use the Ext. Profiles/Change password link in the Main Menu, but for other users I can use the admin link, as above.

I'm not sure I understand the logic of not having the password field appear in the admin's profile when accessing it via the admin menu, but at least I understand how this works now.

I see exactly the same problem. Password fields are not visible. I have two XOOPS 2.2 installations and neither of them show the password field. This is a real problem. What is the solution, core developers?

I maintain a web site for a hobbyist group. I am currently working on rebuilding the site for XOOPS 2.2. I am rebuilding, because I want to change the way some things are done and the modules used.

I would also like to update my theme. In particular I'd like a nav bar as is used in the new XMT theme with 2.2, such that I can allow some items to appear for logged on club members, but not for non-member registered users or guests. (similar to the User Actions that appears only for admins in XMT).

The current theme is a modification of fiblue3d (that I did) and can be seen at www.aka.org (still on XOOPS 2.0.13). A new theme should be basically similar but need not be identical. One option would be to add the javascript nav bar stuff to the existing theme, the other to write a whole new theme.

I am willing to pay for the development of the theme, within reason. In other words, the site belongs to a non-profit organization and I can't spend too much. I would have no problems in contributing the theme to the XOOPS themes library.

If there is anyone interested in doing this work, please contact me by email at bjc3 at centurytel dot net, so we can discuss potential costs, etc.

I would suggest temporarily setting a small donation amount in xdonations setup, then do a test donation. I assume you have a personal Paypal account that you could use. You can refund yourself afterwards.

My experience with xdonations 1.9 was that everything works, except the IPN logging. It installs, it passes the validation tests, and if you do a test donation it completes the transaction on Paypal and returns you to the correct page on your server, which shows briefly, as it's one of those transitory, intermediate pages. However, the transaction is not logged, the donation is not shown in the appropriate donation blocks of xdonations.

I hope you can try it and I'd love to hear you were successful. Then I'd know it is something on my system to look for.
