I've had some offers on a PR5 site for 50$/month a link, to give you an idea what people are willing to pay for this... I currently have one guy with 10 links...

Just a good comment would be not to put the links in your footer, but in a custom block and add them as legitimate links , as not to be punished by SE's...

Google does not pay CPM on textads... just graphic ads...
If you guys are all so dissapointed by google, why don't you try the beta contextual program by yahoo? Bet they're fond of getting some adsense webmasters in their program

For example, you can point to a custom 404 page like this:

ErrorDocument 404 /errors/custom404.html

This is also needed when you want to get the stats to your google sitemaps...

A suggestion ... if you are going to use mod_rewrite, do it BEFORE opening up your website and before searchengines can reach it... Why? because searchengines, especially google WILL punish the domain for posting double content

Anyone else noticed?... All my sites are again being bombarded with visitors from google... Some of my sites which were generating +-15.000 uniques/day dropped to +-2.000 after the last google dance some months ago, up until yahoo started liking? my site and it went back to +-4.000... Now since yesterday 10PM google has picked up again and i'm probably gonna see traffic today at 20.000/uniques...
Could this have anything to do with me using their sitemaps feature or is it just another googledance?...

To answer the question, advertsiers have the option to choose between CPC and CPI... Currently i have some new car-related sites which are only having a little traffic, generating no clicks, but still generating +-0.20$/day... Why? Because i'm sure some cra-advertisers are very willing to pay, only showing their brandname on some sites...

What exactly will this result in? Less time that MySQL connections stay open?
Is it going to improve system performance?

THX :)

I've used it and lost a few thousand hits /day whilst using it... i changed back to the original urls and google likes it better, same for yahoo...
