I have had a few members tell me when they go to comment on the news items, they hit post comment but it doesn't show up.
Any ideas?

no i see the editor, it's the text that isn't showing up once i click on "edit", vanish, nothing, blank white box in the editor. and if i click save, then the article that i Had posted is gone. it originally posts just fine, it's only when going to edit that the text isnt' there

Problem editing news items

I just had a fresh install of the latest XOOPS version, still using alternate8 news for the homepage. everything works fine, but when i go to edit a news item, there is nothing there. all the text is gone. Naturally I do NOT hit save again otherwise my news story will not be visible.

Any ideas?

Thanks Frogx, okay I went to the last option you suggested and changed that number to 40 from 30.. i no longer get that bad module error however the avatar is just a red x. I'm almost there, please tell me what I did wrong..

Okay I had my tech install frameworks and upgrade to latest xoops...I can delete scraps now, however the avatar still gets this

Unfortunately, this module has acted in an unexpected way. Hopefully it will return to its helpful self if you try again.

Thanks..I have installed it...still can't delete scraps...and now when I upload pics, i get a red x where the pics should be, expect the one in my profile...also the first time I added the avatar it worked, now when I try to change it it says you have succesfully changed avatar, but it's the same one. Then it works, then it doesn't arrrggghhh.

My admin panel says I need framework? but the link it give isn't open....i do h ave something called smartobject framework...

Or is it I need to upgrade to new xoops?

Sorry for the questions, I really want this to work.

Hmmm, I have version 2.9, didn't know there was a yogurt 3.0, where do I get that?
I don't have the latest xoops, however my tech is suppose to upgrade for me soon...but maybe until then I can try yogurt 3.0

Oh and I read back, did anyone get a reply to the avatar thing? Seems most can't use any of their uploaded pics as avatar..I get this --

Also, I can't delete scraps. yes I see the red x to delete, but when I hit that, it takes me to "are you sure you want to delete" I say yes, it goes blank, and the scrap is still there

If anyone can help that would be great, otherwise I will have to uninstall it at my site, and all the members love it so far.
