I'm running a forum using module newBB 2.2 and I have some subforums there .The main forum is disabled for creating new topics etc. So there are no posts in the main forum but there are posts in the subforums but when you go to the forums' main page you see 0 topics and 0 posts!

How can I change it so it will count the topics & posts in the subforums and won't show 0 instead?

Arie

When I login or logout for example, so on the top of the page appears:

You are now logged out
Thank you for your visit to our site!

If the page does not automatically reload, please click here

But it appears with a small font which you can hardly see

Anyone knows how can I change this font? such as make it bigger?

And 2nd question, is there any option to remove all those messages like if I login or logout it will directly go to the next page without seeing this on the screen?

Thanks,

Arie

Thanks for the reply, but would upgrading to the latest version could fix my problem?

And if I hacked the register.php and regform.php, will the changes remain after the upgrade?
And what about all the installed modules? Or the permission groups...?

Hello,
I am using XOOPS 2.0.14.

I am having a hard time with the email notification to the admin.

I am recieving email notification when users registers but even when the registration fails.

I reviewed the code in register.php and i found the following 'If' statement:

if ($xoopsConfigUser['new_user_notify'] == 1 && !empty($xoopsConfigUser['new_user_notify_group']))

which configures if to send me the notification emails.

now, i understand the first statement, but what is that:
$xoopsConfigUser['new_user_notify_group']

How can i resolve these multiple emails sent to me?

I just want to get an email when the user's registration is finished.

Any help is appreciated.
Thank you.

I do that again and again the screen where I need to enter the username & password is back, it's like not saving me into the website

What can I do about it?!?!

And if you don't know can you please at least tell me how to change/edit blocks NOT through the System Admin??

Never mind that, I solved the problem with some instructions on FAQ - needed to empty the "Xoops_session"

This is really a simple thing to do. All you need is to change the settings in the mainfile.php for:

line 35 define('XOOPS_ROOT_PATH'....)
line 41 define('XOOPS_URL',....)

and your database settings:
database_name
database_user
database_password

You need to export your MySQL data from your current host and import it into your new one using phpmyadim or what ever is there to manage databases.

Thank you James!

Hi

I have a big question to ask, I really hope you can help me out with it

I have a website with Domain Dot COM, and I have a hosting and I so don't like this hosting company! My website loads really slow, their servers fall very often - So basically - I want to change my hosting company

And that's the problem :(

I have already installed XOOPS and when I installed XOOPS I had to set it up with settings on this specific hosting company

So my question is - if I'm changing my hosting company, how do I "move" my website without problems caused?

How do I move my website with all the info it has? I have a lot of content to move and I don't wanna get troubles

So

Does anyone know what to do, how to move your website from 1 hosting company to other hosting company without harming the XOOPS database? and what should I do with Xoops? how do I change its settings?

Any help will be grealty appreciated!

Thank you!!

Looks clean but there is not too much content yet.

Also you should add a block visible only for anonymous users on the main page to explain what the site is all about.

There is a brief explanation, it's not enough?
