Hi

I have a big question to ask, I really hope you can help me out with it

I have a website with Domain Dot COM, and I have a hosting and I so don't like this hosting company! My website loads really slow, their servers fall very often - So basically - I want to change my hosting company

And that's the problem :(

I have already installed XOOPS and when I installed XOOPS I had to set it up with settings on this specific hosting company

So my question is - if I'm changing my hosting company, how do I "move" my website without problems caused?

How do I move my website with all the info it has? I have a lot of content to move and I don't wanna get troubles

So

Does anyone know what to do, how to move your website from 1 hosting company to other hosting company without harming the XOOPS database? and what should I do with Xoops? how do I change its settings?

Any help will be grealty appreciated!

Thank you!!

This is really a simple thing to do. All you need is to change the settings in the mainfile.php for:

line 35 define('XOOPS_ROOT_PATH'....)
line 41 define('XOOPS_URL',....)

and your database settings:
database_name
database_user
database_password

You need to export your MySQL data from your current host and import it into your new one using phpmyadim or what ever is there to manage databases.
