Hi

If I have a 2.0.13.2 install without any core hacks, and the following modules installed:
Newbb 2.01
Myalbum 2.84
Smart Partners 1.02
MyDownloads 1.1
News 1.42
Pical 0.83
TinyD 2.18
SmartFAQ 1.04

Can I update the core to 2.2.3? Will I need to check each module compatability with 2.2.x?

This is something I have been wondering from the gecko

thanks...

Hello great community

I am about to build a web-site based on the great XOOPS technology.

my question is: Should I wait for XOOPS 2.3 or should I use 2.0.x?

Will the 2.0.x versions remain in productions for patches and fixes?

thanks in advance

Hello

Did anyone consider templating the user profile system and possibly adding a template manager feature on the user level?

The main advantage will be to have a better layout and display of the user's interaction with the site.

For example: If I am an active user and I have a daily journal entry, a weekly gallery, some download submissions, and a few forum posts.

Now if I want to share these posts with friends, all they have to do is go to my profile page, and see the new content right there in a nicely formatted way. Rather than one long list that becomes quite messy.

I am not a php/smarty programmer but I am willing to help test and construct this idea.

As I wrote in a post in the suggestions forum, XOOPS is lacking behind on the user interaction and it is important to offer these features.

Hi Jmorris, thank you for pointing me out at these two modules.

I was thinking what will make a good Resume' tracker and...

Well it will actually be more of a file manager as the Resume is already typed up by the applicant and there is no reason to retype it into a database.

So ideally, an entry in the resume tracker will have the resume' attached as a file, and a few searchable descriptive fields such as position, name, data and such.

Any ideas on a module that manages files that is searchable?

Hello

My Manager wishes to have a Resume' tracker so he can keep track of all the applications we receive at work and later be able to sort through the Applicants and keep track of them.

Are there any modules that can be used to do so or similar thing?

Thanks

Check out SimpleHost.com

For 7.95/month
they offer unlimited everything and a 50GB/month transfer.

I have had 1 site with them for 2 years now and never had any downtime and their tech is quick on the fix.

I did switch to surpasshosting with my new sites, but only because of their even cheaper rates.

but for the price, no one beats simplehost. You get Cpanel, unlimited databases, emails, storage, sub-domains and all taht for 8 bucks a month.

Goodluck finding the host for you

Hello xoopers

I am searching bug tracking modules for xoops. So far I have found Mantis and Zentrack?

There used to be another one I can no longer find. It has a very rich graphical interface, any ideas of what I might be referring to?

Mantis is nice, and I love the customable field option, but my main problem with it is not being able to duplicate projects, having to configure each project manually, and also, not being able to use the XOOPS user database to add users to a project?

If someone could list some other bug tracking modules for xoops, that would be great!!

Thanks in advance

Thanks everybody!

Changing the line in modules/news/submit.php made it possible to upload doc and xml files.

Now that the file is sucessfully uploaded, where exactly does it show up for the user to be able to download it???

The only place I see it is when editing the story, next to: attached files.

.txt/.doc/.jpg and neither works

I launch the upgrade script again, and problem continues.

Can it be a server-side problem? maybe something in php.ini or IIS6?

:/ Would like to get down to the root of this because its a near-must feature.

Thanks
