The session setting only applies if you have use custom sessions on.

If you have a database backup, you might consider restoring that.

However, it is possible to go into your XOOPS MySQL database and manually edit it so the login block is visible. Look in the XOOPSDBPREFIX_newblocks table for the Login block.

Its possible to block emails and email domains:
In System Preferences > User Info Settings, theres a field called "Enter emails that should not be used in user profile"

There is php code available to check if a domain resolves, which is one form of a "real email" check.

I've actually never had any spammer problems while I was using the user accounts feature in XOOPS (stopped 1-2months ago), though I did do those things above. I also blocked many disposable email services like pookmail.com.

If your getting a lot of robots spamming your site, it may be worthwhile to put in a CAPTCHA (anti-robotic image).

Are you using IE7? (Could it be your browser showing that).

What does the bar say? I too don't see it on your site.

Thats fine, although its not recommended to set it with execute permissions, unless your using some sort of php suexec that needs it that way.

The version of XOOPS doesn't matter, because its not XOOPS thats returning the 403 forbidden message, its Apache.

Normally, the "You don't have permission to access /tuis/modules/newbb/post.php on this server" message means that the file is chmod'ed (file permissions) to 0640 or something like that. Just to be thorough, verify that the file is chmod'ed 0644, otherwise known as rw-r--r--

Sounds like you want a wiki and a CMS at the sametime? Thats possible with XOOPS. There are 2 good wiki modules for XOOPS, so I would take a look at that.

And I would advise you delete imagemanager.php if you dont want the feature at all.

This sounds like a server side thing, possibly mod_security or something like it. Have you checked with your host?
