ok... layout and a few other things have been changed. Let me know what you think. Thanks for the feedback btw jmorris. I'm not sure I understand what you mean by padding on the left. I'm not that good at making themes or coding.

I have just updated the layout and graphics over at BornSlacker.com

Have a look and tell me what you think. I've tried to streamline the main page yet still offer a bit of content via the main menu.

Any input you all can offer would be appreciated. Thanks.

How do you see which users are assigned to which group?

I have a site that has certain things available to a certain group.

i.e. Registered users have access to some content, "members" have access to more content.

I have a site with a little over 600 members and without having to go through each account, is there a way that I can see which users are assigned to which groups?

perhaps using phpmyadmin?

Can someone please please help me out. I'm trying to download the latest script for teamspeak in xoops. I have only found it posted at tswn.com and when I go there I have to create and account. As if that's not pain in the butt enough, when I finally get to the download section it then asks me for another username and password to access the download from the server.

Can anyone give me a link to another site that doesn't require you to jump through so many hoops just to download a script? Please

I had my XOOPS site as http://www.tveps.org, but lost it all when my webhost had a server crash. Lost all of my data. Webhost "claimed" to be backing up files every night, but that wasn't the case. I have learned my lesson and back up the site at least once a week.

P.S. Thanks for the comments. Anything you like or don't like?

Well, it's been a bit since I submitted the site for review. Our community has grown quite a bit and we've added quite a bit of content. The theme is a modified version of a montisart theme. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I too apologize for my harshness, it's just very frustrating hearing so many people compliment how BornSlacker.com is so clean and well organized compared to most gaming sites made with phpnuke. XOOPS is indeed a far superior cms when it comes to code. I think it would only take a few really good gaming themes to bring in a bunch of gaming nuts who DO know how to make more themes and then XOOPS would have it all.

Again, I apologize for my harshness. Thank you for bringing to XOOPS what you do.

Those other sites listed are pretty cool. Anybody else want to show off their gaming site?

Pardon me for being blunt, but...

When exactly did it become the community's responsibility to cater to a niche market?

Nobody owes anybody anything here. If gaming themes are so important to you, why dont you produce some. That would solve your problem. I'm sure other people would appreciate it as well.

If you don't know how to make a theme, look at the FAQ. If you still have problems, visit http://www.w3schools.com .

As a theme designer, the reason I don't make gaming themes is because I think gaming is a tremendous waste of time and resources and so are the bloated themes that so many gamers seem to prefer. And I sure as h3ll am not going to waste my time for someone who has an overinflated sense of entitlement.

Bottom line...

You've posted and complained numerous times that there are no good gaming themes for XOOPS. That XOOPS isn't impressing the gaming community, etc, etc, etc.

Instead of complaining about the situation, why not do something about it?

Regards,

James

I expected this response from the leading producer of boring XOOPS themes.

I like the whole version 2, and 3, and 4. Where all you do is change a few colors. That's so awesome.
