Am I mixing up category with topic? Is there a topics manager in xoops?

Here's the situation:

I have this parent and its descendents:

Elections:

England

France

Germany
Federal

USA
Federal
State
County

Laws:

USA
Federal
State
County

How do I view all articles which have the category Elections?

How do I view only Federal Elections in the USA and able to see that I am actually looking at the Elections category and not at the Laws one?

Is there a more automated mechanism of creating a horizontal menu on the top of the page, such as?

Home :: Contac US :: ... etc

using: 2.0.5

I created a category called

Elections

and a subcategory under Elections called:

USA

So I categorized an article as Elections->USA but the article does not appear when a user selects Elections. It really should since USA is a subcategory of Elections. What's wrong?

using: 2.0.5

I changed the footer and the copyright statement and saved and don't see the changes on the webpage. So I confirmed that my changes were saved and they were.

So where is the footer supposed to appear?

Is there a news specific footer? I need this for disclaimer statements

I was able to get the width of the following, under an HTML block, to appear correctly, but the height is not 100%. Why is that?

<iframe width=100% height=100% src="http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/subst/home/home.html/104-5781918-0069540"></iframe>

That's really unfortunate Why not? This is a fundamental need, IMHO. Both postnuke and phpnuke can.

In postnuke one can create a block for one particular headline entry. However, I cann't find that feature in xoops. In other words, if I have an rss/rdf entry how does one make that particular rss/rdf entry appear, let's say as a right block while other rss/rdf entries are on the left or center?
