I have just upgraded to XOOPS 2.1.1 and I have 2 problems with new user registration. The error message "Selected module does not exist!" appears when I click the "Register Now!" link in the login block. This is a major problem as you can imagine.

Another minor problem is that several pages on my site no longer automatically reload... I have to click the "here" on the link that says "If the page does not automatically reload, please click here."

In 2.1.1, is there no longer a way to add users from the admin side?

I thought of that, but the Admin screen has no links to any of my installed modules. It's basically a blank screen, but it has the new XOOPS header across the top of the screen.

I just upgraded to 2.0.1.1 and now none of my blocks appear. When I try to go into the Admin Control Panel, I get a blank screen except for a new XOOPS page header. I went to the recovery tool to turn on PHP Debug, but it doesn't seem to be working correctly since no errors appear.

What do I do?

Screen is blank unless you change themes

This one is sorta strange. I built a module to track an inventory of items that we have here at my company. The module was working correctly for a while, but recently it began to misbehave.

Currently, when I press the link from the main menu to access the module, I get a white space where my module should appear. If I change to a different theme while still in that module, the screen shows up correctly. The screen goes white again if I press any of the links within the module page until I change themes again.

I have used PHP Debug mode to see if there are any fatal errors, and there are a few variable warnings, but nothing serious. Has anybody encountered this before?

Ivan

I actually solved this problem by rebuilding my web server. I used a program called XAMPP which is a software package that includes Apache Server, PHP 4 and 5, MySQL, PHPMyAdmin, and a few other useful items all bundled together with an installer program. When I used the installer that came with this free software, it automatically created all of my INI file settings. When I ran XOOPS after that, everything worked perfectly. I'm very certain that the problem was with the INI settings for PHP 5, but I have no idea which setting it was.

Just wanted to let people know that completely uninstalling and reinstalling the module fixed the problem.

Before you do this, be sure to backup the debaser tables in your database. Doing this will help you avoid having to reclassify all of the media files.

I was thinking about removing all the module files and reinstalling it from scratch. I'm wondering if doing this will destroy the database entries. I have about 1000 songs already in their specific categories, and reorganizing them is not something I'd like to do over.

I guess I'll find out soon...

Thanks for the suggestions!

I've been using Debaser now successfully for about a month, and it's been a very popular module. A few days ago, one of my users noticed that the player window stopped working, so I tried to reproduce the problem. When I try to play a track, my player window pops up, but there is no player control... just a blank window. A small white area is displayed where the player controls would normally appear.

The only change I made recently was that I deleted the Real Player Audio player. I have successfully been able to play music on the Windows Media player since then, so I'm not sure why this would happen.

I've tried updating the module to see if that would help, but I wouldn't be writing this post if it worked. Any ideas on how to make this work again?

Updating the System module fixed my problem. I never knew until just now that this was necessary.

Also, FYI, the hack doesn't come with a readme file.

Thanks for your help!!!!!!!!

Are there instructions for installing the hack? When I copied the files included in the hack into my XOOPS directory, nothing happened. The login was the same as before, and it didn't autologin.
