It probably would have been useful to mention that I'm using XOOPS 2.2.3. It seems that kernel.php is different in the version that I'm using because that line does not exist for me.

I figured that the only way to do this is to manually set the weights of the modules... I was just hoping to do it more like the way that hervet suggested.

Is there a hack that will help me sort a menu alphabetically?

Thanks in advance!

I'm trying one more time to get an answer to my question. Anybody have an idea if this is possible? Couldn't I point one website to the user records of another?

I'm trying to help a friend that is setting up multiple XOOPS sites at the same time. He's starting a portal where users can access different clan websites for different online games. He is trying to do this by starting with a main starting page at his root domain (www.ralogames.com) which will contain links to different clan sites which he's got running on different subdomains (example: wow.ralogames.com). On each subdomain, he's installing a separate instance of Xoops. One thing the sites have in common is that they are all sharing the same database, just using different prefixes for the database table names.

Is there a way to have users register on the main site and have their user information available for each of the subdomain sites to use?

I just installed the Zen Cart module and I can't get into the Admin area. I enter my username and password for Xoops, but it is refused. I'd love to get my hands on the manual offered in the last post, but clicking the link takes me to a Forbidden page that I can't access.

Is there a default username and password for Zen Cart that is separate from Xoops?

I decided to go back to 2.0.13.2 since I didn't have any content on my site yet.

I just recently installed XOOPS 2.2.3, and I've noticed a problem with my Module Administration page. Here are some of the problems I'm noticing:

1. The XOOPS header at the top of the screen is missing.
2. The menu which is below the header is missing.
3. Stylesheets don't seem to be loading. The screen looks different than normal.
4. Modules that need to be installed do not appear at the bottom of the page.

I posted a screenshot athttp://akwebz.com/images/tobedeleted/xoops.jpg if you'd like to see what I see. Anybody have a suggestion on how to fix this?

Ok, I seem to be making some progress now. I can now see all of my users in Xoops!

Now my problem is that the passwords that were setup in the previous version no longer work. Is there a global change I can make to reset all the passwords? Or is there some sort of way to convert old passwords into the new format?

Wow! I think you found the problem! I only have 2 entries in that table and they are also the 2 records that are working correctly.

I went to my old DB and checked that table to see if I could get some data to enter here, but that table had no records.

In checking for that data, I also noticed a table called xoops_user_profile_field, and that table does have data which seem to include some preferences for each user.

I'm going to try and create some data for these tables to see if this fixes the issues I'm having. Thanks for pointing me in this direction!!!!

That solution is not feasible for me right now. I have a bunch of users that have already been waiting since last week to have the site operational, so starting over again just isn't possible right now.

I've decided to put up a disclaimer on the home page explaining that all users will have to re-register.

It's too bad that there's not a better solution. It took me some time to get all those records back into the database since the fields from the old version of XOOPS don't match up perfectly with the fields available in the new version.

After examining the data in the database, the only difference that I noticed between the old and new data is that the password field seems to have a different encryption (or something) used in this version. Besides that, all the other fields are populated the same as the test entries I manually created.

If somebody else has a solution I can attempt via SQL statements or via Xoops, please let me know, but for now, I give up.

Thanks for all your help up to now.
