HAs anyone any idea how to do this as i want to add a custom small pixely type of font to a theme as the main theme.

im not to worried about macs as i will just substitute a mac font but i really want to use this font for the main text on the site.
Can this be done in css and how would i do it.?
just include the font in the same folder as the theme?

cheers

[this type of font btw]

thanks guys for your ideas and i will try them out asap
i am trying to make a theme that is structurally very different from the norm XOOPS layout.
A lot of things are controlled by CSS alone yes but in most cases that ive looked at there are many things that are serup in the templates such as left and right colums - main menu etc
i may just remove the style info from those and make it part of the css itself - problem being there is that it would have a knock on effect of the other themes
we shall have to see
:)

i was wondering if this is possible as some of the designs i am working on are very customised and therfore look nasty if the wrong template is used.
Does such a hack exist?

I had a similar problem on my intranet that i built.
I had my site set up to an ip address (of the machine) and wanted it to work with the computer name instead.
I found that by running the initial setup file again and specifing in there that the sites root was 'machine name' rather than 'ip address' it seemed to all work fine.
might be worth a try on your problem

personally ive used all versions of Dreamweaver and although they have improved recently it still sucks at css.
I can highly recommend Adobe Golive CS. Its CSS editing tools are the best ive used anywhere with real live updating of your code and the effects on you page.
it helps make CSS much more understandable and is a great designer tool

I have just recently been looking to use png with alpha chanels in my design and came across [this] and wondered if and how this could/would apply to xoops.
I know most browsers are fine but there is still a bug with ie that this fixes?
cheers

that would work but i dont think it applies to this menu
to clarify i thought the menu:
'The one above the news which allows you to select the news topic'
was just somewhere in the sql db and not possible to order the list through the admin.
it would be in the news module admin section somewhere i would have though, unless there is a template for that section.
if somebody knows how to edit the order of that i would be most pleased.

does anyone know of a way of sorting the list of items in this menu. i keep adding new bits and the list seems a bit chaotic. it would be nice if i could sort them alphabetically.

any ideas?
