switching themes and templates at same time

i was wondering if this is possible as some of the designs i am working on are very customised and therfore look nasty if the wrong template is used.
Does such a hack exist?

hello hal...,
no hack, not that i know...
you may get control to this, building your themes in different usage. Put most you can [and you can nearly put everything] in stylesheets to make your layouts to get full control of modultemplates layout.

switching theme will have effect on this ..


but..
this is just one advantage of using styleheets

If it is a matter of module templates being customised for one particular theme, I do believe that it is possible to put them in a folder under the theme and then set the "Update module template .html files from themes/your theme/templates directory?" to yes.

I don't know if it is enough to just put the templates in themes/your_theme/templates directly or whether they should be in a folder with the module name - I think it is the former, but not certain.

thanks guys for your ideas and i will try them out asap
i am trying to make a theme that is structurally very different from the norm XOOPS layout.
A lot of things are controlled by CSS alone yes but in most cases that ive looked at there are many things that are serup in the templates such as left and right colums - main menu etc
i may just remove the style info from those and make it part of the css itself - problem being there is that it would have a knock on effect of the other themes
we shall have to see
