Hi,

I'm using the great module xcGallery but I havce one problem. I canot add albums. If I go to xcGal>Admin mode>Create / order my albums>New, nothing happens. Same thing for delete. Now, I have discovered that if I put the default language of my site set to english, I can add and delete album without any problem !

Does anyone ran into that problem? Can anybody think of a solution? I would like to post a message on the xcgal developer's website, but it's in german...

Anybody can help ?

Thanks !

So this is a good thing to know : document any hack you do on your site. Wish I had know that before....

So I guess the good way to do it must be to trace any hack I've done. Then for each one, find each files that were modified. For each one of theses files, I need to check if the 2.0.6 version have a new version of that same file. Am I right? Do I forget someting?

I think that a new XOOPS module should be created to keep track of all those changes done by site admin.

Thanks for the help !

Hi !

Ok, now that XOOPS 2.0.6 is out, I need to install it, of course. I've done the upgrade from 2.0.5 to 2.0.5.1 and then to 2.0.5.2 without any problem. However, since I installed 2.0.5.2, I've also install a couple of hacks and the MultiLanguage module of hsalazar.

Here's my question : what is the recommended procedure to install a new version when the site already have a lot of hacks.

What do you suggest ?

Thanks for any help !

The server is the smtp server of my internet provider. I use this smtp server to send my mails with Outlook and I have no problem. The Mail method is SMTP. I did choose SMTP Auth and still, it's always LONGGGG....

Any suggestion?

Thanks for any help !

Hi ! I'm using the multilanguage patch form hsalazar and I would like to make the theme i'm using more multilingual. In order to do that, I need some info from you guys (I just started with php so... no too good...)

Ok, in the theme.html file, there is this line :
<tr><td class="slogan" colspan="2"><{$xoops_slogan}></td></tr>

I need to pass the $xoops_slogan to this :
$myts->makeTboxData4Show($xoops_url);

so it can put the text in the good language.

Now, I don't know where to put it, I don't know what are the links between the theme and XOOPS and php, etc...

Can anybody hekp please ?

Thanks !

Hi !

For some reason, the sort order of the modules in System Admin is weird on one of my site. In my other sites, the System Admin module is always at the top, which makes much sense. However on one site, it looks like this :
Resized Image
Whenever I install a new module, this module always appears at the top of the list, so the System Admin module goes down all the time.

It is not a BIG problem, but still, it's anoying. Anyone can help with that?

Thanks !

Thanks for your quick answers !

Separating them with 2 sites will halve the activity on the site
You're right about that ! I guess seperating the modules would be the best way.

I will use these modules :
- WFSection
- NewBB
- MyLinks

Anyother fellow that encountered the same problem? (Why am I living in 2 language country anyway !!!! )

Hi everybody, I'm building a site where 50% of my users will speak french and the other 50%, in english. I got the MLPatch from hsalazar and it work great for multiple languages. however, my question is more theorical. What would YOU do about the forums and articles that users will post. Should I set up 2 different categories, English and French and put the forums in both category? Shoudl I set up 2 different XOOPS sites? Any ideas, comments suggestions? Anyone had that problematic before?

Thanks for your help !
