falke,

Have you tried using mypage. It's essentially a blank module that allows you to post static PHP/HTML content in a page. In the xoop_version.php file, you can easily assign sub-menus and point them to wherever you wish. It's extremely simple to duplicate and rename as well. When I've run into situations where I couldn't find any other module that would work for my needs, it was a life saver. I'm not sure if mypage is available on sourceforge, but it's extremely simple to code. You can find more information about it in Xoops for Dummies at the Xoops Documentation Site.

Another module that offers a little more control over your content is Tiny Content Duplicable. You can download that module from sourceforge and there is documentation on it at the XOOPS Documentation Site.

Hope this helps.

You could use the Squirrel Mail Module has a few bugs/glitchs but works ok i have found .

Um also you could install the webmail program in seperate direcory and use a iframe module to wrap it in your XOOPS site .

I'm running XOOPS on a remote webhost. Pretty standard, cpanel and everything. What I'm looking for is something ot let my friends check the pop3 accounts I gave them from the site when they want to. I was going to try the pop3 modual but the I see things like this.

"Make a non web-shared folder (users cannot see this folder throught a web browser),
eg. /tmp/uebimiau or c:\winnt\temp\uebimiau"

Does this mean make a directory in say the home folder instead of the http folder?

Also...

"- The user wich the webserver is running (nobody, apache, IUSR_machine,etc) need rights
to write on this folder, turn it writtable"

I have no idea what user the webserver its running. Its not my server. Am I missing the meaning here?

Any help would be great.

You can use a program called Wimpy Player (www.wimpyplayer.com), the license is only 20 dollars. Once you have that, upload wimpy.php and wimpy.swf into your mp3 directory. Then just create a custom block in XOOPS and paste this code:

<object classid="clsid27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000" codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=6,0,47,0" width="450" height="150">
<param name="movie" value="http://www.yourdomain.com/mp3/wimpy.swf?wimpyApp=http://www.yourdomain.com/mp3/wimpy.php">
<param name="quality" value="high">
<param name="wmode" value="transparent">
<embed src="wimpy.swf?wimpyApp=wimpy.php" width="450" height="150" quality="high" pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer" type="application/x-shockwave-flash"></embed></object>

Make sure to change the www.yourdomain.com parameter to your own domain. You can adjust the width and height as you like. I got this working fine on my site (although, it's not active yet, waiting for our new CD to come out).

Good luck!
