I'm running XOOPS on a remote webhost. Pretty standard, cpanel and everything. What I'm looking for is something ot let my friends check the pop3 accounts I gave them from the site when they want to. I was going to try the pop3 modual but the I see things like this.

"Make a non web-shared folder (users cannot see this folder throught a web browser),
eg. /tmp/uebimiau or c:\winnt\temp\uebimiau"

Does this mean make a directory in say the home folder instead of the http folder?

Also...

"- The user wich the webserver is running (nobody, apache, IUSR_machine,etc) need rights
to write on this folder, turn it writtable"

I have no idea what user the webserver its running. Its not my server. Am I missing the meaning here?

Any help would be great.

You could use the Squirrel Mail Module has a few bugs/glitchs but works ok i have found .

Um also you could install the webmail program in seperate direcory and use a iframe module to wrap it in your XOOPS site .

I'll give the squirrel mail thing a shot.
What I'm trying to do is make a way for my friends to just log into the site. Click a buttona nd it bring their mailup without logging in again.
