When I try to enable a Block to view all I seem to get is a blank page. Any suggestions?

How do you add your content to your custom block? Specifically, how do you add images to a custom block? I assume that you upload your gif to the uploads/images folder then link to it by clicking the image icon and typing in the URL, but when I do all I see is the typed URL that I made. What am I overlooking?

I figure it's in the way I write the image or URL address where I'm making the obvious mistake -- but what is it?

Yeah, I was really hoping someone could shed some light on this. Too bad. Well, I really hope that multiple Headline blocks is added to the new version of XOOPS.

I would like to have separate RSS Feeds that do not show up in the same Headline Block. My first thought, is to duplicate the Headline Module and call it something else but I'm not sure how to do that (all the parameters and names that would have to change)or if it would even work. Is there a simpler way?

The FCKeditor integration has been great, especially with WF-Sections. Is there anyway to integrate FCKeditor with other parts of XOOPS? I would like for the FCKeditor to come up when you're in the Blocks page and you click on Custom Block. Can it be integrated with custom block creation?

FCKEditor and News Module

I have a question about integrating the FCKEditor with the News module. I followed the instructions in the integration pack and initially it seemed to work fine after I made the changes to the storyform.inc file as noted.

Then I noticed that it said that this was more to do ("But this is not enough!...") so I followed the other instructions and that's when things seemed to have gone wrong. When I got to step b in the instructions ("copy the folder "news" from FCkeditor/Extra/modules/ to /your_site/modules/ overwriting the original News module") the FCKEditor no longer seemed to work anymore. When I would click post new article it would only show me the place to input the title of the article but not the story part with the editor wasn't present.

I went to the News module preferences to set the Line break conversion but there was no option ("After this go to your News Preferences in admin section and set 'No Linebreak Conversion on Frontpage?' to 'Yes'")to change it like the instructions said.

I must've have overlooked something but I cannot tell what it was.

I set the CHMOD of the "images" folder in the "uploads" folder of the XOOPS root to 777 and now the image file upload works. I wish that were explicitly stated in the instructions from the start...I wish a lot of things were explicitly stated. Oh well, it was free. Only the headache cost me. HA. Other than that it WORKS GREAT so far.

- Make sure you upload the correct folder. *NOTE : The correct folder is the folder that contains the "theme.html" file, look inside the folder you are uploading and make sure its the correct folder, an extra folder may be created in the unzipping process.
- Change CHMOD permission to 755 for all theme files.
- Set "Update module template .html files from themes/your theme/templates directory?" to "YES" in General Settings
- Change theme to 7dana-soft throu "Xoops admin > Preference" and delete all files in "template_c" folder and you will see new theme.

I've read the documentation on image upload in the FCKEeditor folder but to someone with not much experience it doesn't seem to make a lot of sense. I read the page and can't make heads or tails of it where to start.

Yes, I do have an uploads folder in my pub_html folder but it still just hangs up when trying to upload images from my desktop. I do not get an error message of any kind but I click and wait and wait, and nothing happens. The files I'm testing are no bigger than 100k gifs and jpegs.

I have Apache 1.31.31 unix
PHP 4.3.7
MySQL 4.0.2 standard
