Bang on. Your candor is appreciated. I was thinking the same things, on the most part but needed a second opinion to be sure.

Thanks Mith.

I am developing a community website and would like opinions on all and anything related to it. I have been working on it for so long and often, I cannot really "see" it for the first time. Please take a look for me and give me your thoughts. I take criticisms well.

It is still a work in progress but it is more complete than not.

Thanks.

I can go down to my local magazine shop here in Alberta Canada and pick up "Linux Format" magazine for $19.99CDN (approx $16USD). I was browsing through their fabulous archives and came across an article that fits in this forum perfectly:

http://www.linuxformat.co.uk/archives/LXF35.tut_php.pdf

I hope this can be of some value to you.

P.S.
Linux Format is a magazine that focuses not only on Linux, but the entire open source community. A great read if you can get your hands on a copy.

Can I integrate FCK Editor into Xoops 2.0.9.2 ?

1) How? I have done multiple searches trying to find a definitive answer to this question. Is it possible to get a working FCK editor version working with Xoops?

2) If not what editor can I get working with XOOPS other than the one that comes with Xoops.

3) Lastly I want cross browser compatibility, more specifically support for Firefox, which editor can best give this to me. My preference is of course FCK editor.

I know these questions have been asked before but not lately.

Thank you.

Firefox 0.8!?! Sacre bleu, the installer for 1.0 is painless and much more stable.

I really liked the theme, what is it called and where can I get it. I'd like to test it on my site. I only know english so navigating thru german menu's could be kinda nasty for me.

I'd suggest you use an instant messenger such as Yahoo! Messenger or MSN Messenger. That may be more up your alley than a service that any module can provide. Especially since it involves video conferencing.

I've been looking for a simple, professional set of icons for my news topics. While looking I came across this funky lil' program.

Topic Dude 2.2

Seems to be a bit old but it was up my alley for what I wanted. Hope this may be of help to my fellow Xoopalonians.

BTW, does anybody know of anything similar to this? Please share.

Thanks for the flash movie Adam. Unfortunaltely my webadmin does not look anything like yours. I wish it did. Here is a link of what my control panel looks like.

Globalhosting.com

No problem, I'll make do with my manual FTP & SQL DB backups until technical support gets back to me.

Appreciate your help tho.

Nope, I have no automated backup options available to me. I only have available what they suggest. I've been with them for 3 years now.

P.S.
I tried their file manager backup suggestion they gave me a minute ago and it crapped out on me giving me errors. Grrrr.

My Question (to Globalhosting):
What backup options do I have available to me for my shared hosting account via the CP or elsewhere?

Their Response:
You can download a copy of your site whenever you like. You can also tar up a copy via the File Manager by checking the checkbox for the folder you want to tar and clicking on the ARCHIVE button at the top of the File Manager.
