Ok, I wanted to submit my site to Feedster.com but I don't know how to get my site to create rss feeds.

I've seen and installed the Lycos whatever feed program (fixed version)https://xoops.org/modules/mydownloads/singlefile.php?cid=24&lid=661

That didn't do anything. It looks like, from the file, I'd have to create the rss files manually or something? The files in the cache dir there were just empty files with sample links.

Anyway.. Anyone help? Is there a better solution?

I went to the admin section and created a Moderators group.
In that group I gave access to everything I wanted moderators to be able to admin. Most of the moderation blocks and a couple of the admin blocks.

Then I assigned a couple of users to the group but it didn't seem to do anything.

I've also noticed that if I assign a user to the WEBMASTER group it still doesn't seem to let them in the admin area. I have to open the user's account and set their title to Webmaster.

Is the groups on the user's account linked to the access provided by that group or is that just for displaying the user's TITLE? That's a bit confusing for me.

I finally just made them both full site admins and told them not to screw with stuff they didn't understand. Though I'd rather just give them specific portions to mess with.

Thanks Bender, I knew I saw a bunch of that someplace but in searching, I couldn't narrow it down. My mind is meager, your wisdom is great. ;)

Ok, downloaded and installed but it didn't create the table(s)... :( No big deal I'm just happy you got it this far for me.

Can you add instead of "Number" maybe "Email" and also add "Website" and "Phone #"?

On the listing page you can just list the Band initials (sort by band initials), Breeder, Who submitted it with a link to their profile and then one of the three (whichever exists, first): Phone #, Email Address, Website URL.

The Search feature, what fields did you set that to search? All of them or just the band initials?

Let me know your paypal account.. I'd like to make a donation for your help.

I want to set up a "Moderator" group and give them admin rights to certain modules like classifieds, faq, photo albums and so on. I've set up a group with the access and assigned the users to that group but it doesn't seem to do anything. The site still reports that they don't have access to that area and none of the "EDIT" links show up in any of the modules like they do for a site admin. I would rather not set them to site admin if I don't have to..

Hmm.. starting pointers anyone? Or has someone done this? I need the XFS information to be searchable by the search module. Is this possible? How is it done? I know there are posts about it on this site but I'm not finding them... I have to weed through a bunch of other posts in the searches and it's not working out for me ;)

I agree.. hacks are fine and dandy but I'll not be using them. The problem with those is, when I need to upgrade XOOPS I have to re-hack. It's hard remembering all the files I changed so I don't change any. ;)

I know.. search first but I tried and didn't find anything specific. I'd like to see the forum module have at bare minimum: New Since last visit, Your posts, Your threads, Your Watchlist

I think they're self-explainatory.
