Take a look at Tigra Menu Pro. It's cheap, cross-browser, light, easy to configure... You can try the free version (Tigra Menu) and there's also a bell-and-whistles version called Tigra Menu Gold. Just make sure the one you use allows relative positioning.

The menus are available here.

Cheers.

hsalazar

I've now converted my site to the Tigra menu (the free version). I'll add an acknowledgement and their link on my Credits page together with all the others.

Again, I want to say "Many Thanks". I appreciate your help.

The menu setup was very easy. The only thing I can't understand is why my menu titles will wrap despite the text being underwidth. Eg Prayer Network will wrap at 90 pixels. I had to increase the width to 95. The second and third levels are set to 150px.

I'll probably buy the Pro version for my office intranet. I quite like its advance functions.

I don't know about you but when I install XOOPS on my host server the above info were automatically filled in their respective field. All I did was accept the info and it seem to have processed correctly.

I will never recommend any open-source pirate software and I hate the jerks that put up those recommendations on open-source forums like this one when they're just hyping themselves.

If that is not calling hsalazar a jerk than I don't know what kind of English you are spouting.

When I see postings where one guy asks for a specialized software tool to do a job, and then some other guy chimes in with an embellished referral to some payware software I quickly suspect there are a couple of rats in the woodpile...since this does seem to be the time tested way of promoting payware software created with open-source software...developer to developer.

You may call it 'suspect a few rats' etc. I call it slander. You call yourself a developer of software. Then I assume you are working and not a 12 year old posting on this forum. Well I got news for you. I am the IT Manager on the other side of the table buying softwares from your peers. And I don't take kindly to slanderous remarks made without carefully checking out our background.

You attempt to hijack this innocent request for help with your own personal agenda. I expect an apology from you. Not further accusations or insinuations.

From experience with XOOPS (and its a very short experince I gotta tell ya), most of the modules are listed there.

The few times I couldn't find the module I wanted I do an advance search on Forum with the keyword. And usually I find the one I want.

On other times I couldn't find one, I post on this forum and usually within a day (sometimes within minutes - which is mint considering I'm in New Zealand and the rest of the world are on the opposite hemisphere) someone will post an answer.

All I can say is, if you don't know, ask. The folks here looks pretty friendly (well 99.9% of them anyway).

You can call it 'FUN', I'll call it something else OK?

And don't tell me to chill, you called a Core Team member a Jerk and then you tried to label the two us as 'Open Source Pirates'. I think you have something you need to do (honorably).

On the left side of this forum is an option called - Download. Each of the downloadable files have a description re what it does.

I second that sentiment.

Xoops community is a great model for others to learn from. Questions are answered even though it seem to have been asked 1000 time.

Not everyone who visit XOOPS are net or IT savvy. Even with my 15 years background it is still a challenge understanding PHP and Apache for the first time. And reading the friendly responses on the forum give me the confidence to type in my questions without people questioning my IQ or skills.

And I think the XOOPS developers and moderators on this forum are some of the most patient and gracious people of all. And I have seen the infighting at the various nukes forum. The only other forum with such friendliness is the Coranto CMS forum.

EXCUSE ME? ARE YOU CALLING ME AN OPEN SOURCE PIRATE? I am working on a Church website with open source codes that have limitation put on it via the GPL which I am honoring.

When you find a problem with that let me know OK? Otherwise calling people Jerks, Pirates are just non-acceptable, especially when someone has kindly just provided me with a workable solution. What have you done other than criticise a fellow XOOPSter helping another?

Sheeesshhh!

What the heck are you smoking?

I downloaded the free version and it looks good. If I ever feel like using the Pro version (ie payware) then its my perogative to pay for it.

Everybody need to make a living, that's why there is the free version of Suse Linux and there is the enterprise version of Suse which I am paying for to run my Oracle servers.

On the other hand, Redhat has gone completely commercial and that's where you should have a problem with.

Tigra offers a free lite version as well as an payware enhanced version. Where is the problem with that?
