Protector is causing a Sessions issue-

Its been driving us crazy for a few weeks now, people not being able to log in...
We kept dumping sessions to remedy the problem. (Even though its set to no sessions in site preferences).

Finally found the culprit...
My Protector module has been filling up our sessions...
how about that..overzealous its bee storing info on every IP it appears. (all the sessions we wind up dumping refer to protector)

Can anyone point to what settings in Protector can limit this annoyance? Cant seem ti figure out how or why its doing this so often.

Thanks , yeah just cant help but feel that IIS is not set up properly on my Host. Everything works fine when I use Apache (locally) I'm going to ask them to look into it one more time before attempting the switch. Good to know there is not other major difference as far as basic op. goes.

Any concerns I should know about? The problems we've had with some modules lately gotta be from IIS. Would like to switch over to Apache.

This doesn't actually affect XOOPS configuration does it..its just all server related? Any links you suggest for such a process?

Thanks so much! Probably making a bigger deal than it is,( but you know how it can be when dealing with projects you've worked hard on).

Bum deal havent got this to work at all.
And No one seems to have a clue why. (mainly myself)

Maybe its time to switch to Apache...

Apologise for the seemingly Stream of consciousness But I just figure someone else out there must be having this problem too.

But I could be wrong. ;)

Make sure that the folders
templates_c
Cache and
Uploads do NOT have read only checked on the folder at all.

that should make sure generally.

I wonder if PROTECTOR may be causing problems. would that be a reasonable guess?

Ive already tried disabling the protector module in its admin and running yogurt but to really truly disable protector it needs to be uninstaller I believe.

Worth a try?

Frusterating becauese I got it working on local installs (w'apache) and its a great-incredible- module.

But until someone proves otherwise.
AS of now I can only suggest that Yogurt does not work
in the following set up.
(from remote host)

Xoop 2.0.18.1
w2k3
IIS 6.0
Mysql 5.0.27
php. 5.2

Can anyone please give me an idea of what to do about this? Anyone have this module running on a similar environment? Or is it just not campatable in this environment?

My next step will be to double check all the XOOPS files from the upgrade as I cant think of anything else.
