For some weeks, i can clone files on ftp, getting each time a nwX_ different... but once in modules admin, when i want to install it, i got a blank page...

Now, i can not even access to my module on frontsite !!!

Don't really understand what i changed because i often update my modules with last svn... Could it come from last system module or last xnews updates ...?

Hi all,

I'm meeting more and more bug with Xnews...

I did clone the module 5 monthes ago and it worked fine. But i can not do it again for some weeks...

Today i tried again, updating files with last from SVN... and i now get a blank page with this module with this message :


Fatal error: Call to a member function getVar() on a non-object in /home/users5/e/mysite/htdocs/include/cp_header.php on line 33

or trying to update the module :


Fatal error: Call to a member function getInfo() on a non-object in /home/users5/e/mysite/htdocs/modules/system/admin/modulesadmin/main.php on line 439

XOOPS Version XOOPS 2.5.1a
PHP Version 5.3.5
mySQL Version 5.1.37-1ubuntu5.5-log

Xnews : 1.71

Any help would be appreciate,

I would be happy to help testing XE

I already tried 3 times in last 2 monthes... but i always meet pb, during the install or after to access admin...

I also didn't well understand how to make it works : do the module renamed in applications or do applications are something else ?

Are the existing module basicly compatible or will it be necessary to update them all ?

Let me know how to test !

Multiple xoops site : altenative at multisite module ?

Hi all,

i tried to used multisite module but it looks quite complicated to use... (no updates for blocks,...)

By the way, i was asking :
Is there a way to install multiple xoops site ("myserver/site1", "myserver/site2",...) on a same database, with tables installed after different prefix "S1" "S2"..., except for some tables that i would like to have in common, like :
_avatars
_groups
_users
...

For ranks, please have a look in uploads folder if you have a .htaccess

On my server, i had to delete all xoops htacess in uploads folder to make appear smileys, ranks...

By the way, is there an option to deactivate the captcha ?

I don't need it as i'm using already the validation code...

Hi Wishcraft,

I meet a problem with captcha.

I tried to validate register form without entering captcha :
- the page refresh with the error message
- pwd fields get empty

Up to there that is normal... except that the captcha doesn't appear again... it's replaced by this message :
"Input error: Invalid referer"

Hi all,

I just developped somes php pages (my first ones) (which do not open yet in my xoops site - they are independants), and i would like to manage the display of some contents depending on users groups... (in fact use the user management system for my pages).

I'm using the same db and ftp directory.

So, could you indicate me any "simple" topic on it ?

Is it as simple as adding an include in the header and a code like :
<if usergroup=1 or 13 then...> </if> ?

Would it be possible to update videotube and evennews. These modules just have a main link page but no tabs...
