Also, does anyone know how I can change the menu navigation bar (Home News ...)?
That is for example, if I want to add a link for another page like "Job Listings" or "Classifieds," where is the php file to make that change to the menu? Or is that allowed by XOOPS?

Look through the files in the /tpl directory of whatever theme you're using.

I'm getting this error message when opening "Create Article" from the publisher admin.

"ERROR: cannot access file directory. Please CHMOD the uploads/publisher/content directory with value 755 (or 777 depending on your environment)
"

It displays under the editing window but isn't correct the dir is set to 755, and the content saves correctly.

FileZilla has a "Mirror" function that would work too.
It makes sure local directories are updated to match remote directories .

Sounds good.
It wouldn't be a bad thing to clean up the modules repository, and add currently "working" modules/module packs.

It would eliminate the waste of time that happens when people install the latest XOOPS version and try to get any of those outdated modules to work with it.
If they are outdated, orphaned, non-functional they should be on GIT so people can work on them.
Only stable/current modules out of alpha/beta should be offered here.

imho..

I must retract my promotion of A2 Hosting. As it turns out they oversell their resources, and even *if* they claim you can xfer 1tb a month of data, they feel its ok to randomly delete anything they think is available for download w/o notice.

I was paying ~$70 a month for a reseller account so that I had the filespace and xfer ability to offer freeware utilities to my users. I have done so in the past using HostGator, Arvixe, even Yahoo back in the day. This is the 1st time a host has decided to arbitrarily delete perfectly legal files from my site w/o notice.
They claim even though they sell a service, I'm not allowed to use it.

Stablehost Is my next choice. We'll see how it goes.

I'll follow up here, as I hope that somehow my trials and tribulations will benefit someone, somewhere, eventually.

May your host be with you.

1 last bug to squish:
When accessing "modules/publisher/backend.php" googlebots generate a 500 error.
This txt is displayed:
This XML file does not appear to have any style information associated with it. The document tree is shown below.

You shouldn't run Yogurt. It's wildly outdated and insecure.
There's a more recent social type of mod that Culex has developed.
You should try that instead.

Smallworld is the name of the module.
Here's his site. Don't know if he's doing anything with it currently.

I'm aware this is hosted on Arvixe.
I seem to recall 1&1 being an EIG company too.
There are so many companies they bought up it's ridiculous to think they could provide customer service for all of them.

When I was a HostGator customer EIG purchased them, and promptly relocated the servers. My site was never the same. And instead of a guy in Houston answering the help desk, I got outsourced crap service from Pakistan.

Moved to Arvixe, only to have the same thing happen.
A2's customer service was prompt and to the point the only time I had any question for them.
I could actually make out what they were communicating, rather than the garbled, broken english I had seen with Hostgator and Arvixe.

Just my opinion.
