On the other hand, if you had your site in a hosted environment, very probably they have a more recent backup. That is, if you're in a good company.

Good luck with your recovery efforts.

Cheers

As I've mentioned in another thread, I'm in the process of rewriting Soapbox using classes to handle the data. This is in preparation for the future. It's a slow process, because I'm learning along the way, but eventually I'll get there.

Cheers.

Soapbox is in the process of being converted to a class-handled module. This has taken longer than expected because of my ignorance and my lack of enough time, but will eventually produce a more efficient and secure module.

Sorry if my modules are now classified as "abandonware", but I can only work for a short time daily on the sobject.

BTW, Shine's code is the correct one to solve the pagebreak issue.

Cheers.

I've been owrking now a month and a half with no days off, so I'm really tired and have had no time to work on this, but I'll try to fix the rating bug and release it in a couple of days.

Cheers.

I thought I had squashed this bug. However, on looking with fresh (but tired) eyes at the code and how it works I see the vote data are not reset; they're still on the table, only they're not retrieved. I'll fix this as soon as possible.

Cheers.

Soapbox still kicks a bit, but barely. However, the pagebreak bug can be easily fixed. Open your file article.php and in lines 68 and 70 replace the

$bodytext

with

$articletext[$storypage]

This should work.

I've looked for the other bug you mention but still haven't found it. Could you be more specific, please? It's the navigation, but exactly in what page?

Cheers.

PS: Because of the way the pagebreak stuff is done, you'll need to edit the text so that it continues after the closing bracket. Otherwise in the continuation pages you'll see a blank line at the beginning.

this is caused by code put there to avoid HTML in the definition. I haven't really had time to finish cleaning the code, but I promise to make an extra effort and upload a much improved version of WB.

Cheers.

Please do a search here for Marcan's multilanguage hack. It's easy to download, easy to install and easy to use.

I've uploaded version 0.5 of FilmMakers to the developers site. You can try it and see if it suits your needs. Since it's aimed more at the film directors than to the movies themselves, you'll probably need to modify it a bit, so the index page takes you to the movies page instead of to the directors page. Other than that, I think you can use it. Please give us feedback as to its usefulness, and of course any comments or recommendations or suggestions are welcome.

Cheers.

PS: From this module, inquisitive xoopsers can extract parts for different uses: a simple file uploader, the movie player, the code to assign specialties to a filmmaker, the menu for the admin side, the code to have an item list with a simple selectable filter, the code to select the featured item...

More cheers.

Thomas:

I did in the past a version of Soapbox that included the SPAW editor, but after I wrote the help files (which take a lot of space), I had to choose between including the help or including SPAW, and chose the first option. Same thing about Tiny Content: it had some versions with SPAW, but the one I'm using now (1.6) has taken it out, I guess for the same reason.

I probably won't create a Soapbox with SPAW. It weighs too much. I definitely will make one using the WYSIWYG editor Samuels has been developing. It's great, it's light, it's easy to use, and it's programmed using XoopsForm, so it's very easy to integrate. I promise you it'll be for the better.

Cheers.
