Doesn't crash the site. If they have the same problem I was having it will just give them a blank page in the new window where the PDF is supposed to generate. I was thinking I could add an advisory and link to a "how to correct page" in the Transfer page. Already added to my to do list.

Thanks

skenow - YOU are The Man!

I have spent days checking and re-checking my instalization, upgrading and downgrading Frameworks and Xoopseditor, even tried to hack some of the files.
I was ready to dump 3.08 and return to a very old version.

DOH, Didn't even consider that it was a problem with Adobe. I followed your recomendations and they worked like a charm.

Thank You!

Note to self: In the future check all applications, not just xoops.

I have been searching for a day and a half and I must be the only person this is happening to.

CBB works great right out of the box! But, I get a blank page if I go to Transfer | Create PDF | OK. No PDF (all other Transfer options work fine)

New install XOOPS 2.0.16, Protector 2.57, and CBB 3.05 (and upgraded to 3.08) Installed/reinstalled xoops-frameworks-art(1.10) from here. xoopseditor is in class/xoopseditor and Frameworks is in root.

No error messages, no other problems, Just No PDF's

I searched, faq'd, viewed every post at dev/xoops/cbb/forums, Googled, and checked every directory and file for Frameworks and xoopseditor to insure ther where no missing files.

Maybe some permission or setting somewhere?

PLEASE, Can anyone see what I am doing wrong? I'm going out of my mind!

Sorry 'bout the rant,

Thanks

Thanks for the response. I did read through the faq's but must have missed the alternative to using phpmyadmin to upload the files to the MySQL db. Will go back and look again.

Didn't know there was another way.

Oh and since my increadably fantastic new host now seems to be down, I guess I have some time to read before trying it.

One of those days.

Thanks again for the reponse.

Hi Andy,

My PHP stinks so far but have a look at Pageworks. I have been playing with it ans it seems to work for me. I also think Formulize is an awsome module check that one out too (same page)

Hi all,

I've decided to change hosts and after trying several I've picked one. I was hoping someone knowledgable could look at my plans to see if I'm missing any steps (or totally confused).

Note: currently XOOPS files are in oldsite/xoops and in the new site I want the XOOPS files in the root.

1) Installed XOOPS db backup and restore V3, ran module.
(one glitch email links to download files did not work in emails but files are in upload/backup. Will work on glitch later)

2) FTP'd a copy of my XOOPS folder

3) Created MySQL db on new server

4) Becouse I want XOOPS files for new site to be in root I change copied mainfile.php

define('XOOPS_URL''http://mysite.net/xoops');
to
define
('XOOPS_URL''http://mysite.net');

also in mainfile.php changed databasename, username and password. I dont think I need to change the DB_Prefix??

5) Add data to db (really not sure about this one) Extract db backup created with XOOPS db b&R, open with notepad. login to host cp, in phpmyadmin select querry window and paste the contents of the db backup into the querry, select go. (I think this will create tables and content)

6)FTP contents of my altered XOOPS folder to new host.

Does this sound right?

Other Stuff:
PHP 4.4, XOOPS v2.0.16, Protector v2.57, Multimenu v1.74, Document Management Systems (DMS) v1.87, CBB v3.05, DLinks v1, Formulize v2.2, Pageworks v2.2 and Multi Theme Hack.

Thanks for any input!

editing artnomad_tab_eng theme and newbb css

I can get through some basic css but this ones got me stumped....

I'm using the VERY COOL artnomad_tab_eng theme. It sports a border on the left via "border-left: 10px solid #6699CC"

I am losing the left border when newbb's content kicks in. When I look at the source this is where I'm losing it:

<!-- End display center blocks -->
          <
div id="content"><!-- start module contents -->

I've looked all morning through the artnomad and the newbb css files but I can't see where to edit div.content(?). Am I totally off track here or can someone point me in the right direction to add the border when the content kicks in?

Thanks for any help - sorry to be so green.

Other changes (just FYI)
The theme has a fixed width of 760px so in newbb I needed the full width for the forum (no left column) so I set the css to width 0px and that worked fine.

xoops 2.0.16 and protector 2.57 warning

New install of XOOPS 2.0.16 and protector 2.57 on linux server with php 4.4.2 and I'm getting the following error:

WARNING: File /home/mysite/public_html/xoops/mainfile.php is writeable by the server.
Please change the permission of this file for security reasons.
in Unix (444), in Win32 (read-only)

I have set the permissions to 444 and ran this php script I found somewhere here:
<?php
if (is_writable('/path/to/mainfile.php')) {
   echo
'mainfile.php is writable';
} else {
   echo
'mainfile.php is read-only';
}
?>

and it's showing that the mainfile.php is read only. I have also cleaned out the browsers history and cookies, but still get warning. (Note that I have the XOOPS files in a seperate folder just in case that makes a differance)

I would like lose the error message if possible. Anyone got any ideas?

Thanks,

Steve
