Hi,
I'm using a Nix server with Cpanel, and I've already set the subdomain. My situation is this :
www.mydomain.com/xoops is the directory where i have xoops
xoops.mydomain.com is the subdomain i've created.

My problem is : if i open xoops.mydomain.com , browser correctly open the page www.mydomain.com/xoops BUT i would like my browser to keep displaying xoops.mydomain.com into the address bar.

A quick example : when using news module, I get this address into the browser address bar :
www.mysite.com/xoops/modules/news/
i would like the browser to display :
xoops.mysite.com/modules/news/

thanks for helping
Kikko

Hi,
I'm currently using XOOPS with success in a subdomain. It works perfectly.
My problem is this :
my XOOPS subdirectory is : www.mysite.com/xoops
I've a subdomain called xoops.mysite.com pointed to that directory.
But, when i open xoops.mysite.com, my browser displays www.mysite.com/xoops. I would like to keep seeing xoops.mysite.com also when browsing into my subdomain. How can i do this? Thanks for helping

Hi,
I'm using news module as a blog into my web site.
I was wondering if it's possible to enable an email notice for my registered users every time i add a post. Is there any module that mails users when new contents are uploaded. Otherwise, there is another way i can arrange something similar? thanks,
Francesco

I've a strange problem, but is not directly concerning with xoops. I use google adsense into my websites, and if i set news as the default module, i do not receive any ads. (the problem disappear if i switch the default module to another one). I was asking for admin.php because prompting that into the address bar, after /modules/news/ , ads appeared again.
Any clue?
thanks :)

Hi,

I set News as starting module for my website . When i prompt my website homepage, www.mysite.com, i directly reachhttp://www.mysite.com/modules/bdnews/.
I would like to have displayed into addresshttp://www.mysite.com/modules/bdnews/index.php, not just the url ending with slash. Is that possible in some ways? Thanks!

Hi, i'm currently using Bdnews module. I would like to show all news in the first page of my web site. How can i arrange to open news into that page? Using blocks i can only arrange to create a page with topics, but i would like all articles to open in the first page. thanks

Hi, i was using 2.2.3a version of xoops.
I just installed the upgrade because i did not find any installing information (there was nothing into the top page link, and nothing into the zip file). Right now i have fixed it reinstalling just the old kernel directory (keeping the rest of the upgrade). What do you think about it ? Any idea of my mistake? thanks

Hi everybody, i've just installed the new patch 2.2.4 for XOOPS and, when loggin in with my user, i get a blank page with this :

Fatal error: Cannot use object of type XoopsProfileField as array in /home/wwwrisp/public_html/kernel/profilefield.php on line 355

i can see everything as an anonymous user, but there is no way to log in and manage the site. How can i solve this? thanks!

XoopsGallery: problem with imagemagick

Hi, to use Xoopsgallery
I've installed Imagemagick (latest version) on my cpanel server, using this tutorial here :http://www.cpanelfaq.com/006/101.html (changing the file name to the version of Imagemagick i've installed).

After installing, i've Imagemagick into this dir :
/home/src/ImageMagick-6.2.5/

so i went back to my website hosted on this server, in order to set the directory of imagemagick from xoopsgallery admin :

I'm running XOOPS in www.mysite.com/siteone (xoops is installed into a subdirectory and it can be run from there, not from the basic domain name).

Into the xoopsgallery admin i set this dir as the path to find imagemagick :
/home/src/ImageMagick-6.2.5/

but when checking i just got a blank page.

so, thinking it could be because of the subdirectory where XOOPS is, i tryied also :
../home/src/ImageMagick-6.2.5/

but i got a blank page again.

Somebody can help me and explain what is my mistake? Thanks!
