It appears the zip file for protector 3.04 does not include all the files.

I downloaded the tgz file and it does have the config directory.

Did a complete uninstall of the incomplete zip file installation and reinstalled with the tgz version and I at least have got the module installed and can access the areas I could not access previously.

Hi all:

Am trying to install protector for the first time on a XOOPS 2.0.16 site. I am currently getting a 500 error message when I try to access Protect Center, Security Advisor, or Prefix Manager (all these attempt to run admin/index.php file). I am able to access preferences with no problem.

I noticed during install it says in madfish's documentation, line #5 "Change the permissions of my_trust_path/modules/protector/configs to make it writable.

I do not have a configs directory in that location. Also I do not see a configs directory in the 3.04 zip file that I downloaded from GI Joes site.

What am I missing? I expect it has something to do with permissions and the missing config folder.

I made the changes you suggested McDonald, but unfortunately you were correct. They did not solve the issue.

BTW I did not have an index.html file in my template_c folder. Is that unusual?

In summary:

Running - PHP version 4.4.3, MySQL version 4.1.21-standard, XOOPS 2.2.5 rc2 and Wflinks 1.03b.

Completely uninstalling the wflinks module and reinstalling a freshly downloaded version (1.03b)and including new links in the newly loaded version of wflinks did not fix the issue.

I also am running wfdownloads and even though they are very similar if not identical in the sorting functions, my sorting functions of wfdownloads (v. 2.05)work just fine.

Maybe I should try to load an older version of wflinks? For example the version that was included in the XOOPS packages for the 2.2.x line of the XOOPS site?

Thanks for all your time and help on this issue. If anyone has any other ideas please post. If I eventually solve the issue I will post it here.

Where are you getting XOOPS 2.2.5 rc5 from?
I can only find the rc1 version.

I am very unfamiliar with troubleshooting at the debug level. I only receive notices (no errors) with php debug on, but with MySQL/Blocks debug turned on, when I try to use one of the sort options, I noticed this error message under the heading of "Queries Module".

Quote:

Error number: 1054
Error message: Unknown column 'dateD' in 'order clause'
( 0.000465 )

Is this the kind of debug info you were asking for?

Hi again

I completely unistalled and deleted wf-links 1.03b. I then downloaded it again from McDonald's site. Reinstalled it and typed in a couple of test links.

Unfortunately even with a fresh install and new data it still does not sort.

I did notice however that before and after the new install, this (Failed to execute xoops_module_update_wflinks) showed up at the bottom of the page after you hit the install button.

That give anyone a clue?

I just reupdated the module to make sure. I also dumped the cache folder and temp_c. That did not solve the issue.

Anyo other ideas?

WF Links 1.03b Sort not working

Hi all:)

I recently upgraded my wflinks install to 1.03b. I think my original install was one the wf links that came in one of the XOOPS packages a while back.

At any rate, the sort function is not working now with 1.03b. No matter what arrow I click on to sort by date, title, etc. the sort feature does not change the order of the links.

As far as I can tell all other features are working. I have searched the forum and cannot find anyone who has this same issue. Can anyone point me in the right direction.?

I am running XOOPS 2.2.5 rc2 and wflinks 1.03b from McDonald's site.

Thanks for clarifying my issue with the script. Also thanks for the tip about 2.2.5. I have upgraded. Hopefully that will fix the issue.
