So I realise that this is probably the most stupid and obvious question that these forums have ever heard, but I'm confused. I managed to custom the theme on the front end of XOOPS with no problems (and it looks legend!), but am utterly stumped on how to do the same with the back-end. Any help?

Hi

So I've developed my own modules usining the origional sections module that comes with Xoops. Problem is, none of these mico-modules of mine bare much of the remeblance to the origional, so what do I do about the credits at the top of the pages?

And I downloaded and installed a calendar module, and at the bottom it displays "Calendar 2.24 for XOOPS V 2.0.2 by sylvain B. Original adaptation by Pascal Le Boustoullerhttp://www.e-xoopsfr.com". Am I allowed to remove it, because I'm not sure my users appreciate it.

I'm developing using XOOPS for my treatise, and am curious about the copyright issues?

Kath

Well, they're still trying IIS. And it seems to be fine-ish, though XOOPS isn't up yet.

Hopefully by tomorrow it will be on, and I won't fail my degree!

Thanks for your help guys, and I'll keep you posted!

They are now trying to run it using IIS (which kind of goes against the whole Open Source theme of my project). Am I likely to hit many problems there? And thanks so much for your help guys.

Apparently the XML file specifies the mappings between files and the like. But that does seem a bit dodge to me.

Hi guys

I have an urgent issue with getting my website onto a server. The server is running Apache Tomcat 5, and when they tried to deploy the site it asked for an XML bulid file. Am I being a complete idiot here, because I can't find one. I was using XAMMP on my desktop to develop, and now the time has come to move it over. Developing using XOOPS forms a large part of my Treatise on Content Management Systems, so getting it onto the server now is huge. Can anyone help?

Kath

I have XAMPP running on my PC, and I was aiming for PHPMail. I read somewhere it's the best bet.

Hi all

I know that about a thousand people have asked this question before me, but I'm also having the instantiate mail problem. For developing purposes I'm running XOOPS on a desktop. Is it normal for it to be having these problems then, and will it sort itself out when it gets moved onto my server? I really really really have to get this sorted as soon as possible.

Thanks guys
Katherine
