If you read Google API FAQ:
How do I make queries in languages other than English?

The Google Web APIs support requests and responses in UTF-8, allowing you to make requests in all of the world's languages. The original release included parameters <ie> and <oe> for inputEncoding and outputEncoding. These parameters are no longer used and will be removed in a future release. The APIs still do not always return complete results for Chinese, Japanese, and Korean; we are working to remedy this issue.

edit the templates, find the template for the page which shows hit counter, within that template, find the line that display the hit counter and comment it out

go to your-xoops-root/modules/your-module-name/language/your -language/ directory, find file main.php, open it and take a look, "_CC_ED_TITLE2" and "_CC_ED_SAVE" are probably not defined in that file, add your definition using the syntax:
define("_CC_ED_SAVE","your-definition");
safe the file and reload

note: make a copy before you edit the file

put the file under a directory, and give everyone read access to that directory, also the file needs to be within your web/html directory

<table width="100%" cellspacing="0">
<!--DWLayoutTable-->
<tr id="header">
<td width="100%" height="62" align="center"><a href=<{$xoops_url}> /><img src"<{$xoops_imageurl}>logo.gif" width="700" height="56" alt="" /></a></div></td>
</tr>
</table>

you can either update the system module after changing the theme file or set up automaticly read from templates in admin panel->system->preference

Hi, try the IRCmod, you can find it on this site, it works fine for me. You need to connect it to a IRC server. Also there are some flash chat modules you can choose if you don't feel like using the IRC, do a search you will find them. Good luck.

Hi all, I'm just setting up my site and was wondering how you guys doing on the loading speed? It seems it takes min.10 sec to load mine and sometimes takes longer. I'm not using lots pictures (actually just 1 small one) and have 9 modules installed. Does it help on the loading speed if I use less modules? What else should I do to improve the speed? I'm running the site on my own server with comcast cable, and don't feel like paying for T1. Any ideas? Thanks
