I'm wondering a few things about the search function.

1) Is it possible to incorporate the Search (Advanced Search really) into the Main Menu?

2) Would it be possible to include an option to search (or not search) comments in all areas? So, a search in ARMS (for example) would display contents of the articles, and NOT the comments in the article? Or visa-versa ..

3) Does the XOOPS Gallery support advanced search?

Ta guys..

M

Here's the idea..

The ability for an Admin to point to a .gz modile file online, and have the server download and install it to the site.

The important thing would be establishing a standard for modules when being packed into an archive file. The easiest example would be for the module to exist within /modules/nameOfModule and for the code to expand the module into that environment.

A usual check to not overwrite an existing module would be needed, as well as an option to delete (move for restore?) an existing module.

Thoughts?

DOH

I browsed the module listing, and searched the FAQ and forums .. groan

Just noticed it's valid for 2.0.2 ... can anyone verify 2.0.5.1?

A quick question ... how do I build a wiki for my XOOPS site? I've got everything else I need from the various modules out there, but can't seem to find a wiki. Searched around a bit, but no joy

Once I've got the site I need finished, I'm going to go live and start some development for the project. Firstly, a few themes (got about 5 on the boiler from other open source CMS's which would easily shift across) and I have some ideas on how to help a few existing modules plus plan to potentially write a couple myself.

I'm in the same boat. My want is to be able to authenicate to LDAP, and draw down what 'groups' the user belongs in at the LDAP level. I would then configure XOOPS to use these groups to assign security privs like view/read/write/admin/etc.

This would provide a very powerful system.
