Why would it break existing theme?

Existing theme are calling a logo in theme/mytheme/ and do not use this potential logo option... This logo manager could be used with all new theme taking it into account, and older theme will still use a logo in the theme file. Am i wrong?

Like some themes call the site title in the header and other not. I think people will be free to use a logo manager to create header logo, rss logo... (defining sizes for each use)

I'm quite agree with belia,

It would be nice to be able to easily change (upload) the logo of the website as you change the website name in the admin panel.

By automatically resizing the logo in differents sizes, it could be next used for header, pdf,... and all module which could call it!

Francois

I came back to XOOPS 2.4.4fr and my problem remain...

I think i should erase a hack i did longtime ago to make the extgallery slideshow work by updating to XOOPS 2.5.x...

Maybe its time to move to TDMPicture? Do you think i could hope an import tool on TDMPicture?

Bye

Hi everyone,

I notice a bug between extgallery and XOOPS 2.5.x

Since i updated to this XOOPS version yesterday, my slideshow blocks don't work anymore. The first image appears but don't move and neither change...

Did someone meet this problem?

Regards

As i'm reading previous posts about the direction of smileys,... wouldn't it be possible in editors to include image direction like this : "{dir-smileys}/smiley-happy.jpg" with {dir-smileys} indicating the direction of smileys folder recorded in admin... so each XOOPS user can choose default direction...

Same for {dir-avatars}, {dir-banners}, {dir-images}, {dir-rates}, ...

I think it's not so easy to make this change, but i'm sure it would be a nice thing to do :)

Well, i'm impatient to see how it will be managed!

Regards

Hi,

=> After a first sight, i also check the pb with the folder deletion : folder doesn't appears in the right side, so we can't select and delete them ! So i'm not sure to understand how works the "delete folder" icon (maybe for further dvpt?). By the way, it's very nice to introduced a file manager !

=> "settings module system":
- The line "Active file manager" appears twice...

=> General presentation and set of icons in system module is really BETTER and make it more clear = congratulation !

=> I regret that the possibility to choose the default folder for system files is still not able in configuration, like :
- uploads/ranks/
- uploads/smileys/
- uploads/gallery/
- uploads/banners/
- uploads/avatars/
- uploads/...
The direction of this folders should be customizable in admin and would make more organized the uploads folders!

=> For the blocks management, the new presentation is nice, but it would be nice to add on a side the list of all existing blocks (by module, like a tree) on the site, so we could quickly find one and add it on a page...
I'm not sure to understand yet where to find the blocks from a specific module in order to add it...

=> Modules administration : nice presentation, its nice to have the option "list".
- But the "i" (infos) button doesn't work
- i can not see the option "weight" for ordring modules : was this option deleted?

=> Banners :
- still missing the option to activate/deactivate banners without having to change the "impressions purchased". This would be nice to temporary deactivate a banner
- "view banner" button doesn't work!

=> Users Management :
- "View info member" icon doesn't work !

Regards ;)

Francois

Just tested XOOPS 2.5 alpha on a server (1&1) with php 5.2 and i don't have the blank pages pb...

So i think PHP5.2 is fully necessary for system module...

Tks for your help ;)

:(

Thanks Mamba, but i can not change it.

I'm using a free server (at free.fr) and i'm already using the last php version i can... (php 5.1.3RC4-dev)

Is 5.2 really necessary to make XOOPS 2.5 work? Or does my pb come from something else?
